Simply Amazing
I have waited quite a while before writing this review. I wanted to let these break in and get used to the music I like and the volumes that I prefer. I was skeptical at first since I was purchasing these for a home stereo system and not a home theater system. I was unsure of the sound at first, but it just took a few days into, weeks to break these in and I am simply blown away by the quality and value of these speakers. Don't be confused there are quite a number of speaker systems out there that would wow these into their place but not at this price, not even for double what I paid for them of course this is all my opinion. Iam an older middle of the road audio enthusiast who listens to quite a bit of older vinyl, Classic Rock, Country music and through in some Heavy Metal for good measure. All of these genres sound great on these speakers. I do recommend a nice midrange amp, or even a phono preamp. I am currently running a Yamaha 701 100 watt @ 8 ohms integrated amplifier which drives these just fine they sound very clear and musical even at low volumes. Depending upon your power source the bass may be less than expected as these speakers are power hungry, this is easily resolved with a decent subwoofer. Many speakers built today in this price range just don't produce deep tight bass, at least I have not heard many that do these are the exception with my amp. Anyway, the bottom line for me is this, I got great sound at a great price. If you are hesitant about buying these, don't be afraid to go ahead and take the dive I do not think that you will regret it. Especially when they run them on sale. Shipping was fast and no damage or delivery issues......

Impressive
I finally gave in and bought these. I’ve been in the market for months and looked at everything within the $400-800 range and determined these to be my best bet. The gimmicky copper color drivers really turn me off but I need power handling. I was using AR dual 6.5” at all 4 corners @150rms and B&W center. My receiver is a Denon AVR5600 flagship from the 90’s and is unmatched to this day as far as I’m concerned.5 class D 150 watt amps on there own power supplies and chips with a massive capacitor. The AR’s sounded great for older 2 ways but as I put the pedal down it was clear I wasn’t seeing (hearing) the full potential of my receiver due to my speakers power limitations. When I first received these they had a slight muffle and sounded tight. After a couple of hrs exercising these threw various artist and volumes they cleared up quickly. They sound great, and as pure as the recording will allow at high volume. They take all my amps power with room for more I’m assuming because I still haven’t heard full volume, not because the speakers can’t take it but because I CAN’T!My system is now capable of levels better suited for open air outdoor listening! They due need power, low volume can leave them with a “starving” impression if you don’t have the watts in reserve. I’m very happy with these all around. You may find slightly and I mean slightly better sound quality but they will fall apart at high volume or glitch during loud quick action when these will sound great at any listening level or sequence. The bass is solid and hungry, the horn works perfectly with the bass drivers to deliver a full range much better than most 2 ways.I am so impressed with the F 300 I just ordered the 450-c center, (I don’t see a $300 difference for a vented tweeter to go with the 504) to replace a $1200 B&W with dual 5” Kevlar drivers rated at 120 rms at 8 ohmThe B&W has no thump but worse is even biwired the dialogue is muffled and the speaker is weak over all.I’m using Martinlogan lxi16’s rated at 150 rms at 5 ohms in the rear with no complaints at all for a 5” bookshelf speaker in-fact they sound incredible and still have mussel, but not enough. No deals for this review, I paid for them! LolJust want people to know not to let the gimmicky look or the reasonable price fool you these are a incredible value! If you are a discriminating listener and like volume and energy from your rig this is it! If your a low volume listener or have a modest amp maybe look at the 200 series.

Outstanding sound for this price range and even much higher.
Stereo and surround sound. Deep, well detailed bass, not muddy or boomy. Highs are very good, a little strident at times, but when strident can be corrected with the right piece of thin fabric hung over the horns. Far exceed anything else in this price range, I considered eight other brands and am happy I chose these based on several really good reviews by other websites. I had Paradigm reference speakers, and also Athena speakers in the past. And, these rank in between those sound wise, These are serious quality speakers, and also very efficient at around 96-98 db, at 1 watt, and 1 meter listening distance. Do Benefit from Bi-wiring and Bi-amping as I have done. Also, they eliminate the need for a sub woofer, as they are full range speakers and not limited like many others. The money I saved buying these paid for Klipsch Synergy F200's for my rear channel speakers which are also great quality too. A great bargain for fairly transparent sound when playing jazz, blues, classic rock, and classical too. Associated equipment is a Marantz receiver, and an Adcom Power Amplifier for the front Channels (these speakers), Sony CD and DVD players, Pioneer PLX 1000 turntable, Audio Technica AT-540ML Cartridge, Sorbothane Record Mat, and Install gear Speaker wire with Media bridge banana plugs. Also, monster cable interconnects.
