Wholesome family books
We love the Amanda Pig books! Especially my 3 year old relates to them but my 1st grader loves to read them too as they are at her reading level. Wholesome, good morals, humorous

I loved reading Amanda Pig books when I was a kid
I loved reading Amanda Pig books when I was a kid, and I have enjoyed introducing them to my 6-year-old reader. She loves them! The stories are quirky, silly, and hilarious.

Great book for kids
I bought this as a Christmas gift/ donation for my daughter's class along with other Amanda books. The kids and my daughter loved them so much that I started buying the Amanda books for us at home. The school uses them in their reading counts program and the stories are really cute.

Amanda pig stories have just enough sass to make it ...
Amanda pig stories have just enough sass to make it interesting for slightly older kids (and parents). Very cute beginning reading level books.

Another delight in the Amanda/Oliver Pig series.
Gentle, funny, accurate portrait of sibling relationships and early childhood. Another classic by Jean Van Leeuwen. Our daughter, who enjoyed these books in the 80s, is collecting them now for her children.

Young Children Love This Series
I bought my first Oliver and Amanda book eight years ago for my then toddlers. I bought the entire series and each new release and would have purchased more if more were available. They LOVED these books and wanted to read them over and over again. I have had two more children since who love these books as much as their older siblings did. These books make your child want to sit and listen to the stories. The stories are ones that children can really relate to. I cannot recommend these books highly enough for toddler to early elementary age children.

Five charming stories about Amanda Pig
This book is characterized as a Level Two reader, which is described as "reading together, short sentences, simple dialogue".The stories are interesting and will engage the attention of young readers who love illustrated books, as the book contains colorful and cute illustrations by Ann Schweninger. I'd recommend this series to children who are beginning to develop some measure of independence in their reading and have completed the level one readers. It also makes an excellent read aloud for younger children.
