Dell D610 IDE memory port now works with SATA SSD
This adapter allows a SATA SSD to work with a Dell D610 laptop. Simply clone your present hard drive to a Samsung EVO SSD of any size equal to or greater than your internal drive using a SATA to usb cable, then remove the hard drive and insert this adapter with your newly cloned Samsung SSD. You will need a special Dell adapter, interposed to match the 44pin connectors. The new drive will stick out about 1/2 inch from the side of the laptop. It slips in and out easily. Only Samsung EVO SATA SSD will work using the Samsung migration software that comes with the SSD. I found my 44pin adapter on eBay.

The part was brand new and well packed
The part looked okay, but did not fit in my female IDE connector no matter what I did. I tried to return it, but Amazon said that there was no need to do so (a very small and cheap item) , and they gave me a refund. Thank you Amazon,

Possibly may have worked, but was way too long for my laptop.
I would have had to cut a hole in my laptop, if I wanted to use this. That wasn't happening, so I returned it.

Excelente funcionamiento, lo utilicé para una Mac mini de G4 y le cambié el hdd de 2.5 por uno de ssd con éste convertidor y funcionó muy bien.
