Good product, its easy and convenient to use.The only “bad thing” that I’ve encountered with is that throws water over the iron plate, and the clothes get a little wet!

We used the Rowenta Pro Style Care steamer maybe 15–20 times over the span of two years, and today I opened it up to investigate a problem. What I found was shocking: the heating element compartment, which should stay dry, is completely corroded and covered in mineral buildup and rust. The wires are oxidized, screws rusted, and there's a clear sign of water ingress where it shouldn’t be.This steamer wasn’t heavily used and was always emptied and stored properly. Given how little we used it, the internal damage suggests a manufacturing defect — likely a leak that let steam or water into the sealed electrical section.For a premium brand like Rowenta, this is unacceptable. A device meant to handle steam shouldn't fail this catastrophically after such minimal use. Got this to replace one we had for over 10 years; RIP you abused steamer that we never used properly. Anywho, bought this and arrived next day - oh Amazon what can’t you do! This unit is sleek and makes my old one look like an antique. It had some nice added features so you can add a huge amount of water - steam/iron with this little vertical device that attaches right to it! It heats up in 20 seconds (the manual claims 45 seconds, but I’ve never waited that long) and cranks steam! I can steam a t shirt in under a minute and the wrinkles seem to just fade and disappear. It comes with a fancy fabric brush that helps open the fibers as it steams - will work so well for curtains and other non-clothing items. Lastly, it has a fancy new way so you don’t need to use distilled water any longer. It has a de-calc feature that will hopefully keep this one going for even longer than the old one (RIP!!!!) - I loved that old one, but I also didn't know how great the new could be.

Worked pretty well for two years, and one day just stopped. What is the life of these things? Probably use it as much as a toaster, air-fryer, vacuum, but they last quite a bit longer.

I've heard Rowenta is the best so I bought this. I've had it a couple years. I'm finally fed up enough to review it. This steamer steams clothes. That's where the good stops. The hose is too short. If I'm trying to steam something long, when I get to the bottom, it gurgles and doesn't steam. But if I hang the item on something higher, the hose is so short I cannot steam the whole item. The sqaure water reservoir is not cleanable due to it's size and shape. But the worst thing is that the machine turns off and on all by itself. I will be steaming, and all of a sudden, the machine turns off and I am nowhere near the button. Okay, I'll turn it back on. But even worse... it turns on ALL BY ITSELF. If this happened once, I'd say operator error. This has happened multiple times. We now unplug it when we are done using it.Before this one, I had a steamer that cost much less from Walmart that was far better. Wish I had gone back to Walmart.(While writing this, my daughter asked what I was writing a review for. When I said my steamer, my husband responded, "How it is possessed?" Ugh.)

Why did you pick this product vs others?:It’s a great product. It is sturdy. I like the support from the screen , there are multiple ways to hang an item, 3 heat settings, and can stay in a corner or fold up. One thing that bothers me is that it is not easy to move. It’s not heavy, but there are no wheels or handle to pick it up with. I do tilt it and lift it, but a handle would be useful.
