An unlikely tale with an interesting twist.
I got this because (frankly) I was curious. As described in the promo the story sounded somewhat unlikely but I decided to buy because I'd been something of a boyhood nudist (in private). I wondered how my experience might compare to that of others. I found the writing style quite stilted and rather repetitious about lack of clothing. At times the tale read as little more than an apology for a clothing optional lifestyle. That got old in a hurry, but so did the numbers of happy coincidences where one person after another fell in line with naturism (there were a few exceptions but overall the cast took off their clothes at the drop of a dime). The odd and relatively unexpected twist of the love between Paul and James arrived suddenly, with some mess, and then a smooth conclusion. Overall the naked and sexual side was given innocently and with nothing salacious or provocative in my view, though I know there are those who'd find people going around unclothed to be very upsetting and improper. I'm glad I bought it.

readable and realistic
Considering the many activities taking place at home this is more a nudist than a naturist adventure, but fun all the same. The book gives you an enjoyable description of the situations that may develop when your children suddenly discover the joys of clothesfree living. The story is fairly realistic as it describes the boys exploring the possibilities of nudism and their parents showing varying degrees of enthusiasm but at least being generally positive. The naturist day at the local garden centre however is pure fantasy. Such events were very rare in the 70's and 80's and when this book was first published in 2012 these playful attempts to get nudity accepted as normal no longer happened at all. Apart from this I found the book a very nice read and a not too unconvincing story about families becoming practising nudists.

fun story of two boys adopting nudist lifestyle...
fun story of 2 boys falling in love with a nudist or "naturist" lifestyle.after watching a nude man in the woods near their home Paul and James give nudism a try and fall in love with it.They soon befriend other nudists and enjoy a series of adventures. The cover alone is worth the price of admission.Don't expect a lot of action, and be prepared for some British slang. The funniest one to me was calling athletic shoes "trainers" it makes me think of training pants for infants but its referring to athletic shoes {thanks Wikipedia} but it's a fun read. with a great surprise

When I got this book in softcover paperback edition...I first read three chapters of adventures the boys had. It was interesting to know what was happening in their life of an story-telling in naturists having naturism experiences. I then later on reading the events that happened...but I didn't know any about homosexuality between those boys were mentioned until the event in some chapters story as told.It was very interesting turn by turn pages when reading of both boys' life as naturists and theirs families altering to become naturists wasn't easy until one day when one of the boys suggested an ideal persuade for their own families to try out by becoming an popular naturalized naturist.Opinions do vary widely in this book about one or many naturist adventures that the boys experienced may or may not differentiate such curiousity of being a naturist even a first time adventure will may inspire to try out and become an naturist.

This book is about a sexual relationship
After stringing you along and talking only about innocent naturism, this book turns sexual at the end. I have no problems if a book is about sex, just let us know in the description so those of us who don't want to read about teens hooking up can look elsewhere. Tossing my copy in the trash.

Wonderfully told. Well written.
This was very well written and to my sincere pleasure, Non-Pornographic. The story is very much like a new Naturist experiences this lifestyle and I hope it dispelled some of the myths by a large portion of society.

Decent book
Basically a good wholesome story. Despite nudity implied, it is rather incredibly innocent nudity and NO SEX THANK GOODNESS. And, a nice story. If only they would agree to be close friends at 21 or 24 rather than 18 as they said but small fault. The story itself is innocent boys doing non sexual innocent things, sightseeing and walking and talking and only occasionally a nude sunbathing, trip to a scenic private beach. Nice, for a naturist story nicer than one would probably expect.
