BBTac BT-16A1 Full-Size Airsoft Rifle – Spring-Powered Replica Gun for Tactical Training, Target Practice & MilSim

Rewrite of my original review: I thought this was a great right out of the box, and after 4 months of heavy use, I still love it and will be ordering several more as gifts for each of my nephews. I have had no difficulties in being very accurate (<6 inch spread) at ranges upwards of 25 yards and almost accurate out to about 40 or 45 yards (<12 inch spread), have managed to fire BBs through entire copies of People magazine, and have left several welts on people who don't know how to knock or close the front door. Many of the other reviews have said that this is just cheap Chinese plastic, and this is very true. But if you take proper care of it and are careful, it really is fantastic. I highly recommend some kind of speed loader because the magazine is the weakest link of this rifle, but if you have a bad one, they are easily replaced via Amazon. Reloading the magazine is a little bit awkward the first time you fill it, but once you get used to it, its not that bad at all. No worse than trying to load a real magazine of .223s anyhow, just a lot cheaper, quieter, and not quite as fun as the real deal. This rifle does look fairly close to a real M16/AR-15, but it does have a few flaws. This gun is virtually the exact same length as my compact Stag AR with a barely legal barrel, 2" suppresor, and the 6 position stock extended. The biggest difference is that the solid stock of this one is longer, the barrel length is shorter, and the toy is quite a bit lighter. All in all, I'm dead serious when I say this thing is truly worth every penny I paid for it, and I would very highly recommend this toy to any one of my friends. How else can you go plinking without leaving the luxury of the apartment complex, trailer park, or other municipal and homeowners laws for less than fifty bucks?

As a note, I refinish these weapons as props for film/television work. In this price range I am looking for something that will pass as the real thing in medium and long range shots. That said, the details on this are excellent, and it can be used even for fairly close shots. Minimal touch ups were needed to make it look like an authentic weapon. I'm fairly certain the mold was cast from an actual weapon. Even the magazine is perfectly sized (a usual flaw with replicas that fire BBs, the magazine is sized too small and needs to be replaced or altered in order to make an accurate prop- not needed in this case.) Also, the plastic has a small amount of tooth to it, which makes it hold spray paint nicely with little prep work. ONE NOTE: The description says this is an M16A2. Actually, it is an M16A1 (which is what is in the picture, just the label on the box and here is inaccurate.) . If you want the M16A2 replica, then order the M16A1 from the same company. But that small detail in no way diminishes what a fine replica this is.

Pretty good for the price although after about a month the charging handle broke so I couldn't use it as an airsoft gun. After around 4 months, the stock finally gave out but I definitely recommend if you plan to use it for cosplay

Product was delivered in a timely manner. So, that was not an issue. What is an issue are the instructions, which were printed so small, you could barely read them. Most of what was legible was in Chinese. Thank goodness t came assembled! Then there is the quality. It feel very cheaply made. The product description claims it is realistic. On the contrary, it is very toy like. The specs say the eight is the same...no where close. I own an A15(civilian version of the M16) and other than the overall look, it is nothing like the real thing. I loaded up the bbs and it locked up on the second shot. One if the worst item I have ever gotten from Amazon. Fortunately, bought it as a toy at a lower price, so I had low expectations, but not as low as the sent. I would not recommend this to anyone.

This is great, got here quick. The company obviously doesn't know the M16 series because the box said its an M16A1 but it was really an A3, and the directions how to operate it had a number of rifles on it told you what they were, that was all wroug they had the A1 labeled as A2. Anyways great rifle accurate, but I don't recomend it being used for competitive play it's magazine has a bad ammo capacity so it runs out quick, you don't want to be in a middle of a firefight with an empty mag you would be screwed. It said on the box it comes with laser and a tactical grip, mine didn't come in the box, but that's ok with me because I'm not going to use them anyway. Overall great rifle for looks and performance, this should be mainly used for like backyard games. I hope this review was helpful.

This is a great gun, that is of course if you can handle it. A lot of people say this gun breaks easily, or has bad aim, but then again, think of the people who are writing the reviews. Most of them are little kids who don't know what they're doing, and will throw it agains a tree and say it sucks if it breaks. With my experience with this gun, it has had it's flaws, but they're not unfixable. If you jam the mag into the loading chaimber to hard and overloaded, the rubber stopper will dislocate, and you will end up losing your rounds in the barrel, but if this happens, all you need to do is some simple re-assembely, as in put the stopper back into the white chaimber that attaches to the barrel. Another thing that I found was wrong was that it was difficult to sight. Easy fix. Mount a Daisy 4X scope on the side of the ironsight and there you go. Honestly, it's not the gun, it's the user. With the proper amount of care and respect to your gun, it will become a great weapon of choice. Other than those minor problems, I loved this gun, and still do. It's a great beginners gun, and also a great gun for the experienced airsoft players. I hope this review was useful.

Btw Im her son I just got this product a few days ago and it works great. I've read the reviews of others and some of them are accurate, such as its a very easily brakeable gun and that it doesn't come with all it promisses, such as the 1,000 bbs, it only comes with a small bag. It didnt come with any grip or screwdriver either. But one good thing is that the delivery, for me, was unbelievably fast. It came sooner than my other gun i had purchased on amazon using 2 day shipping. Even though I had used standard shipping for this gun. But for the record it could have been because of location, I really dont know. It's only spring loaded, so it isnt automatic, even thought it has the switch on the side that has the option so dont be getting it for any fast paced game. That brings up another subject, how good it is in combat, unless you are playing a slow paced game, i wouldnt use it in combat because ofthe way you load it to fire. All in all i would use this gun for show, not in game action, especially because of how easily it could brake. Hope this review helped.

Well, I found this looking for an electric gun, and the description says nothing about it being spring, so I thought'd I'd try it out. Alas, it's a piece of crap, shoots slow, the stock is no stuck on it, and it just feels cheaply made. So, if I can get this stock off then i'm going to return it. Otherwise ya know, i'ma give it to someone or just break it... I don't know yet.
