AWESOME, fast and EASY setup! VERY WELL MADE!
This batwing pullout canopy is AWESOME!! I’ve had it for almost two years now. Waited to do this review to be sure it was what it’s cracked up to be! AND IT IS! If you’re looking for a functional, EASY yo use, and manipulate canopy for your vehicle… THIS THING IS AMAZING! It is heavy and about 8ft long, so I needed assistance getting onto my vehicle. However some men may have no issue in doing it themselves. It came with everything needed. The brackets are heavy duty, the poles slide in or out for height adjustment, and fold into the canopy when closing it. SETUP is fast, easy, and not that difficult. It may takes a few tries to learn the best way to maneuver the wings and to reclose them. But once you’ve got it…, it too me approx. 3 minutes to set up, and about 2 to 3 minutes to fold back up and zip into its bag. The poles have rubber at the bottom which helped in hard surfaces like concrete. I worked on open lots where there was no shade, and needed something to give me some shelter from the sun throughout the day. The canopy is high enough that it did not interfere with exit or entry from the vehicle. The poles can be weighted down for strong winds. Most of the rain that comes into my area anymore means a front with it, which means winds! So when I could see the front coming in, or it would start to sprinkle and I knew heavier weather was imminent, it just took those few minutes to fold it up and zip It up! Unless you are in a forest, or surrounded by trees where it will shelter you a bit, I personally would not recommend leaving it open in rain. UNLESS you know it’s just a rain and nothing more. I DID have it up for a gentle rain storm and had no issue. But there were only very light winds and no lightening. Otherwise you risk damage to the canopy and your vehicle, ESPECIALLY if the poles( legs) are not weighted. THIS INFO IS BASED ON USE IN AN OPEN LOT. It also comes with solid nylon tie down cords and ground anchors for camping, to better secure the canopy.., WHICH WILL SUBSTANTIALLY steady this canopy for higher winds. PLENTY of room for a little set up underneath while camping. Chairs, table, kitchen setup ( grill OUTSIDE of canopy of course!), or sit with a nice comfy chair, a cooler, a tv/dvd setup, and fan, kick back and relax. The canopy under structure is heavy duty and can support lights, camping lanterns, small fans.. Can’t say enough about this canopy. I spent a year and 1/2 combing what was out there. My biggest concern was something simple to SET UP BY 1 PERSON ( a woman in my case), fast ( with weather and heat in mind), and uncomplicated! Yes, it can be expensive for some. But I took into consideration the use I’d get out of it. I’ve not been disappointed! And HIGHLY RECOMMENED!

Well made and well designed.
Bought for a Turtletop shuttle bus / Skoolie conversion project. I was worried that the poles might not be long enough for such a tall vehicle but they are adjustable and work great. The canopy is quite large and well engineered. Stretches from one end of the bus to the other providing shade and rain protection. Comes with integrated cover, tie downs, stakes, poles, heavy duty mounting brackets, u bolts, and an assortment of stainless hardware (arrives in a smaller box and also some pieces are packed inside of stake bag). I used 3 pieces of 12” heavy duty aluminum strut channel and some creative planning to bolt to the metal sub frame below the fiberglass roof. This required a lot of planning and patience. If I had a metal roof or existing roof rack install would have been much easier. The installation has survived highway / interstate speeds, rain and a power washer without issue. So far I am very pleased with the awning.

Really great quality materials. Easy to deploy by yourself.
Exceptional quality! Durable/hardy/well made. I’d had a 270° and sadly had to return it because I couldn’t use my cargo area. Replaced it with a smaller ROAM awning and fully regretted it because the materials were cheap and it was really hard to set up solo. Sold that one, repurchased this one and so glad to have this brand back. Easy to install, easy to deploy by yourself, and return to its bag. Really can’t beat the quality of the materials they used. 10/10!

Good awning but…
Installed in 2020 Toyota 4Runner with 3rd party roof rack. The quality is good, installation is straight forward. Good coverage. But I have to return it. My issue with this awning is when it’s deployed the rear door of the 4runner cannot be opened to its full height because the door swing open higher above the roof line. The rear section/arm of the awning when opened obstruct the rear door from opening properly because of the design of the door itself which is slightly wide above the rear taillights. In other words, this awning will not work if your rear door design is like what I described. Now if using this awning without needing access/opening of the trunk then yeah it’s okay. But I was hoping that with the awning deployed I could just keep the rear door open to kind of add more shades. But that is not the case. I hope this help.

Big, burly and easy to set up
This awning is the one I decided to swing for the fences with. Yes, it's big. But I wanted more than just a straight awning and my Luna Rover's hatch wouldn't allow for a 270⁰ awning. Enter the XD 180. It went on rather easily, is very sturdy and can be used without poles in most instances. The fabric is rather thick and appears it will hold up for a long while. I'm now considering one for the other side because of how nice it is.

Love this ‘freestanding’ OVS 180 awning
Installed this awning on my 2023 Toyota 4Runner SR5 on a Tyger Auto full roof rack. The hardware is almost complete, but installing on this type of channel crossbars I’ve needed about 12 X 1/4 carriage bolts and nylon lock nuts. I’ve seen some people having issues with their 4Runner hatch hitting the awning when deployed and decided to install a bit angled. By angled I mean the front of the awning mount is as close as possible to my roof rack and the back is spaced about 1.5 inched from the rack. It works great and it doesn’t touch my hatch, also I can open and close it at anytime (see the last screenshot). It easy to deploy and pack up and if the weather is calm I’m not even bothering to install the extra poles. It looks great and the materials seem to be of high quality. We’ll see how this system will last in 365 day of hot/scorching Florida weather.

Nice! High quality.
Very good quality. I don’t see any reason to buy the next model up. I have two of these and love them.
