For me they are well worth the price
These are expensive, but are well made and work very well. Comfortable, lightweight and fold up smaller than you would think.

Are these really worth the extra cost?
If you are like me, this was always the one factor that prevented me from pulling the trigger on them. Well, it depends, is the answer. If you are a casual shooter who spends an hour or so on the range at a time you definitely have more economical alternatives such as the very popular Howard Leights, Walker Razors etc. However, if you an SO, instructor or competitive shooter, you may want to consider these. Why? Well to answer that question, it again depends on what’s important to you. For me: 1. Comfort – as all of the above, I require all day comfort. The gel cups conforms especially nicely around eye protection arms, and create a much nicer seal without casing the arms to ‘dig’ into your temple. Now I will say that you can get gel cups for the Howard Leights as an example, but these are expensive for what they are (almost the cost of the muffs themselves), now you are almost half way to a set of MSA/Sordins. These also seem to provide just the right amount of tension without again, digging in to your head. Time will tell if this changes with wear. 2. Waterproof – again, in my experience, I have found that some of the above mentioned brands do not weather the storm (pun intended) well. I have had to replace more then 1 set of muffs after SO/shooting a match in the rain. This is still TBD as I haven’t tested this as of yet. 3. Sound clarity/Directional pickup – again, to me this is an important factor, as I need to have situational awareness for safety reasons. Where are my other students, competitors, SO etc. Some negatives: 1. The noise reduction rating isn’t as good as some of the competition. I have always doubled up on hearing protection at indoor ranges and you will definitely need to do so with these. Overall, I am very happy – so far – with my decision to purchase these. Again, these are just some of my personal experiences and reason for choosing to go with these, your circumstances may be different.

You Get What You Pay For
Yes, these are expensive. But after returning a cheaper set, the Sordin Pro-X showed me what quality hearing protection should be. Clear on/off feedback, excellent fit, natural audio quality, and reliable electronic suppression. Build quality feels premium and durable. Bottom Line: Not cheap, but this is safety equipment - not the place to cut corners. Highly recommended.

Amazing HD
Wow. I have to admit these have been in my "Saved for later" for quite some time. I have shopped around and always came back to these. The going price everywhere is a hard pill to swallow. I am glad to say the investment is well worth it. Quality build, simple operation, slim design, comfort second to none. The digital noise cancelation is phenomenal. When in hunting mode it amps your hearing to scary terminator levels. You can hear subtle noises with direction (which is key) when your life depends on it. I have used Walker, Peltor higher end models for years and glad I made the change but upset I didn't do it sooner. When you want to get serious about ear pro, do not hesitate. You truly get what you pay for.

High Price for a Disappointing Product
For $300+ I honestly expected more quality from this compared to the cheaper Walkers or Howard Leight electronic ear muffs. Lets start with the pros: 1) Good seal, always love the gel pad fit and feel. 2) Good noise cancelling, though honestly couldn't differentiate the 2 db difference (which should be significant) between these and my Howard Leight. Will probably need to take them to the range for more testing. 3) Excellent adjustability for all head shapes and sizes. This is probably the best pro for me since the ear muffs didn't angle outward, thus breaking the seal, when on my wife's shorter/slimmer head as compared to my Howard Leight. Now for the bad: 1) The photos, taken right out of the package, clearly show that this was a used product passed off as new. 2) The non name-brand batteries were dead upon arrival, requiring me to install my own to even test whether the electronic noise reduction worked. 3) The battery compartment needs updating. Putting in batteries is fine, but the video shows that the batteries come out as if all lubed up. I had to pry and prod at the first installed battery since it was stuck, and no amount of shaking was going to loosen it. 4) There is some loose object on the right ear muff. Every time I walk or bounce up and down, I hear what sounds like a spring or loose object jangling around in the right ear muff. Honestly, with the gel pads on my Howard Leight, I am having a hard time understanding why I would pay $200+ more on these. Maybe mine was a the reject of the bunch, but for $300+, I honestly expected better quality. This was not a good first impression.

Amazing ear pro. But sent a returned/defective pair.
Sordins are extremely comfortable and have amazing sound quality. Unfortunately I was sent a defective/previously returned pair. Headset was covered in dust, bottom of the box was ripped open just the right amount of the headset to come out. Entire box was damaged. They seemed fine at first until I realized anytime you touch or move the battery compartment side of the headset. It shuts off completely.

Bought these for shooting - getting older and finding I just can't hear speech well enough with passive hearing protectors. These are amazing.

Protection acoustique efficace.

These ear defenders are absolutely amazing! Get the settings right and conversations are crystal clear and you'll hardly hear the report from a shotgun or 0.308 rifle, both of which are extremely loud (> 120 DB) . My first pair are 7yrs old and still as good as new. The othe r two pairs I've received were for my wife and son. I've always gone for the gel cups - worth every penny especially if you wear glasses. I tried some different brands which were cheaper but also bulkier so poor cheek to stock fit. I'm sticking with sordin!
