A little costlySummary:The book is very well written and concise enough to pass on a wealth of knowledge in an easy to digest format. I was able to read this book from cover to cover in about 10 days, studying after work in the evenings. Other than the physics courses I took in college a million years ago, I had no prior experience in ultrasound physics, but I was able to quickly grasp the concepts after reading this book. The quizzes and questions throughout the text helped me understand the concepts I just read about, and also helped me understand the way questions would be presented during the actual test. (I aced 4 of the questions on the actual test because they were almost word-for-word of what was in this book). I highly recommend reading this book to understand the physics of ultrasound in preparation for whatever ultrasound test you're studying for.

Like a lot of ultrasound techs in this country we can not go to a class to learn ultrasound physics, we have to teach ourselves. I found this book and excellent compliment to Edelmans physic book. It was more technical than the SPI exam but found studying from both sources invaluble. The biggest part of passing the SPI exam is understanding the relationships of the various sound wave componets and how when one factor is changed how does this effect the other. This book really helped!!!(For the version of SPI I took 12/2009 the were no equation questions - just when one factor changes what happens to the other - so you do have to know the equations but no need for absolute math.)

A real book with real topics helping for the exam.I am still thinking to be present in one of his seminars.

Hi, I bought this book after my friend recomended me for ARDMS, Found it very helpfull though not very attractive. It covers alot material required for exam.

This item really did help me to understand the SPI portion of the ultrasound exam. When used with my ESP flash cards and book, this really brought everything together in a quick and simple manner. Thanks!

Concisely reviews key topics emphasizing concepts over memorization , perfect for ASCeXAM and RPVI , I have Klein , Oh, and Feigenbaum. They are all good for Non-physics parts of ASCeXAM, but don’t come close to this book. I label it a must have for Cards Fellows sitting for Echo boards
