I bought this for my Husky-mix but I think this would work better for a Malamute, or a dog with shaggy fur. It didn't do anything for the blow-out she's going through, but I've got a thin-wire brush (a Furminator-type, I think) that works like magic to pull huge masses of her undercoat off---but she hates it, and so do the other two dogs, one pitbull-mix and a Jindo-mix. I hoped this brush with its weird bristles on one side would pull her undercoat out but it didn't, at all. However, my pit-mix LOVES the boar-bristle side! He would drag his feet to get brushed with the wire brush, but he sits all happy and wagging when I groom him with the softer side of this brush. I can do his belly and legs easily too, brushing the dirt off. I sweep after I brush him and there's a ton of hair on the floor, a bit in the brush and it's not the easiest to get out, but no big deal. Overall, though it didn't do what I hoped, it was still worth it. Would recommend on really shaggy, long coats (not just ones that shed a lot) or short-hair like pit bulls.

Finally! A really, really good brush for my Westipoo, Poodle Mix and Fluffy Chihuahua (long hair). All our dogs are variations on white/fluffy with slightly different hair. One in particular who has more curly hair is very hard to groom (he gets grumpy). This was the perfect combo brush. The soft side is so soft it’s mostly good for very very gentle grooming (great around face/eyes/neck) and in areas my dogs usually balk. The brilliant plastic bristle side just seems to have the perfect amount of give that it doesn’t overly grab, but still, with enough repetition, gets knots out and will come away with a lot of hair. So my dogs are not shedders but they scratch and get knotted so they both leave tufts around in place of the usual shed and get knotted/matted. So they require more maintenance then you’re short hair shedders. This brush was the perfect balance for what they need (which is pretty much daily) grooming. Wife doesn’t like letting them go short hair so they all look like hippie sheep dogs (hair over their eyes like the dog in the Warner Brother cartoons that would punch in to do a shift with Willie Coyote).

The plastic bristles break easy. The 1st time I used it a couple broke. I do like the brush considering. It really helps with my short haired dog

My 8 month old Biewer likes this brush. The bristles give a little when I hit snags and it bothers her less. I have tried other brushes and they pull her hair and she reacts by biting at them. The soft side makes her very fluffy. This is the go to brush for me now. I wish I had one 1/2 the size now.

Best dog brush ever. I misplaced the first brush I bought. Liked it so well I ordered another. Two sided makes it good for a deep brush other side good for removing debree from playing outside or if you have 2 dogs with different types of hair. This is a very well made brush should last a long while (as long as you don't misplace it)😉

I bought this for my kitties. They're dubious about it. But a lot of cats are like that when it comes to brushing. They aren't long haired so it doesn't matter that much. When I do get the chance to brush them they love it.I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. I bought one of those dry brush kits, I wasn't too sure what I thought of the quality until I got this brush. I'm giving the spa brushes a big fat zero because the quality of this brush is superior. The bamboo handle is thick and sturdy. It doesn't shed bristles and when the cats aren't using it, I am. Lol. Seriously not only is it an awesome dry brush but a very cool head massager if you use the rainbow side. This purchase has made me happy because it's not just for my kitties, it's perfect for my human grooming too 😁

Bought brush for my log haired cat.Tested the boar bristle (burn method) and it's natural boar bristle, not synthetic.Happy with the boar bristle side, but plastic squiggle bristles don't work well for cat's fur.Both sides of brush are fantastic for my hair - its definitely a keeper, even though I'm using for myself and not my original intended purpose.

Came broke some of the prices were broke off

My cat really enjoys the boat brush. He purrs away while getting brushed; however, he does not like the plastic side. I'd buy it again.

Though easy to use, but comes with an aweful smell. My kitten hated it and bit it continuously. He hates it so much that he will find it laying down on shelf and just throw it off the shelf. If he find it on ground he will keep biting it.
