This thing is a huge hit! My son brings it out at the end of every travel ball practice and the entire team will play with it together against a wall. Its fun, interactive and very helpful in working on anticipating the hops etc. Great tool. I would highly recommend

When I was young, I had great hand eye coordination. As I've aged, I've noticed a tendency to spill things easier and to bump my hand (HARD) against the tops of open drawers etc. So I've adapted this reaction ball to improve my actions and reactions wherever, but mostly in the kitchen. I kneel in front of my couch so that the couch will catch the ball if I miss and I don't waste energy chasing it. I started out bouncing it off the carpet, but now bounce it off a wood stool. I've gotten a lot better, even catching wild balls with one hand. And it has transferred into my daily life, which was the entire point. Well, not the entire point -- it's fun.

This is a really fun reflex ball, but make sure that you bounce it on a clean surface, or at least not in the dirt, as it will get dirty FAST. In fact, the side that was exposed on display for people to feel was already dirty. If you bought this for daily usage, it may not come or stay like the picture. The packaging made it hard to get the ball out, which is probably me, not the packaging as that packaging is relatively easy for other people to open. Do not bounce this in a public area or a place with uneven surfaces, a lot of people, or cars, because when you bounce it, it really goes in different directions, especially if you give it a spin. Overall, this is a good ball, it tests your reflexes, and is very bouncy. Glad I bought this ball.

Really cool idea!

I bought this for my son and little league team. When i coach, i love to do pop flies and grounders when working on our fielding. I have wanted to try this for a while and finally grabbed one. The build of this is really nice, it's a hard rubber. If you throw it on the floor, it will bounce about a foot or two. Being rubber, it shouldn't crack, but it is hard enough to take a real beating(i would never bat with this). I don't expect this to break unless abused on purpose like batting. It throws fine if you are mixing it up with pop flies, but this all about grounders. It does a good job and ricocheting different directions. Now it goes fairly straight, don't think it will hit and the bounce 90% making it impossible to field, but it moves 10-20 degrees left/right/and up, making the kids move their feet and adjust. I used to just throw a ball left or right of my players but they would see that coming. With this, i can throw it right at them and still have it go either way, which is the best for their reactions to simulate the ball hitting dirt and holes on the field. If you have a child and are serious about their abilities, for the price, you shouldn't not have one of these.

This reaction ball is smaller than I expected, but it does what it’s supposed to — gives unpredictable bounces that keep you on your toes. It definitely helps with reflex training for baseball or softball. That said, about every third or fourth bounce goes in a completely wild direction that feels impossible to react to, which can get frustrating. It’s still useful for practice, just not as consistent as I’d like. Overall a decent tool and a value for the price, but could be better.
