Pain to install but works!
Edit: 2/21/25- we haven't seen the hawk (or signs of panic from my flock that she was about) since a day or two after instaling this. She quickly realized she no longer could get to my flock.Hawks have made attempts at my chickens in years past but lost interest quickly when it became too much effort as there was lots of cover in the open run (not pictured as we took it down the install this netting). This year we have had a large female red tail intent on treating my coop as a buffet so we had to do something. Sadly, she did manage to get one of my favorelles before we got this netting up.It's tough to install, picks up and snags on everything. Unless you have a very small area to do, you're best off with at least one extra set of hands. Go slow and have patience! Here is what worked for us, which was still a bit difficult but seemed like the best route- we laid the entire length of netting, still gathered and tied so it wasn't all spread out, on our snow covered lawn (nothing to snag). Once we had the ends oriented, we fed the length of it, still tied at intervals, over the nylon roping we had installed for support over the open run. We untied and spread out the netting only after we had the length of it over the entire area, and we did a few separate sections that we overlapped the edges of and tied together with Paracord pieces and zip ties. We tied/zip tied the netting to overlap our metal fencing permiter.I was delighted this morning when I watched through our sliding glass door as the hawk attempted to brazenly swoop into the pen, just over the fence, only to hit the netting and get repelled. She almost tangled for a moment but managed to get free. She perched in a nearby pine but did not attempt it again. I am sure she will try again in the near future but it shouldn't take too many tries for her to give up. I am pleased to report there was NO damage to the net where she ran into it, much to my surprise. The net is also standing up nicely to some high winds today. It hasn't been snow/ice tested yet but I will edit this review in the future if it performs poorly then.Cheap fix for aerial predator issues but time intensive to install and likely to test your patience. But I prefer that to losing my flock!

Did it's job
Used this for a cover to our chicken yard. After a hawk took 6 of our chickens (didn't realize it was a hawk until the last one) got this and got it up that night (in the dark with the help of headlamps and headlights) Didn't realize that this stretches as much as it does so we had some hangover but it's doing it's job! Seemed thin but strong, hole sizes aren't too big, it has stopped the hawks from accessing our girls. Just be careful because one wrong pull and this could become a mess, but in the dark with 2 people it worked pretty well. Definitely recommend if you are having bird problems!

Works great for bird protection.
I have order a 25ft x 50ft and came in nothing compare to this one. This time i order a 50ft x 100ft and came with a lot of spots like these. I use it as above protection for my chicken run and the smaller one work perfectly fine for about a year. I decided to make my chicken run bigger a trust this same brand with a bigger size, but just a little disappointed with these knots. Hope they dont tear or end up being a hole later within the time. Also recomend buying bigger extra zip ties depending the use of this neeting, they are small and thin.

Very flimsy, easy to rip holes in
I tried putting this netting over my chicken pen. I had high hopes of this being a good product when I unpackaged it. However, to my dismay I was able to rip large holes in the netting with just a moderate tug.It is a magnet for sticks and brambles on the ground when I was trying untangle it and finally gave up.

Good quality
I’ve had this netting up over my chicken yard, in full sun exposure for over 2 years, and it still looks and works great. Good quality material that doesn’t tear easily and seems last. But an absolute pain in the a** to install. It took my family and I 2 hours of torture to install because it wanted to get snagged on absolutely everything. If you’ve got little sticks in your yard, it’ll find them. Oh, you didn’t sand your wood fence to be as smooth as marble, it’ll get snagged on every little thing during install.

You better love the person who is helping you!
This 50' net came in a small shipping box that was 8x6x4. That should have been the first clue that this would be a trying experience. Once we got the net unboxed and unwound, it was frustration game on! We couldn't spread it out in the yard because it literally attaches to every twig and blade of grass in sight. Even with 4 of us lifting it to cover the top of the chicken pen it was difficult. I think much of this frustration could have been avoided if the net was rolled when packaged. It took about 2 hours to get it worked out. The stakes that come with it snap super easy even with using a rubber mallet for tapping. We ended up needing more zip ties, but it comes with a fair amount. So far the hawks have stayed away. Our chickens tried to fly out a couple of times, and the net held up well- doing its job fine. Beware that the holes are big enough for chickens to get their head through, but none of our chickens were injured at all when they "tested it out" the first day. While the net definitely does its job and is good quality, the frustration of putting it up made this a purchase that tried the husband/wife and mother/daughter bond. So just know in advance that it is not a one man job and make sure you can work well under stress with the folks who help. In hindsight, I would maybe purchase 2 smaller nets to place together and get ones with smaller holes.

works great for chicken coop top
We have purchased two of these now, they last about a year and then the sun makes the net weak. Does not do well with snow weight. Also, its kind of a pain in the butt to put up, gets tangled very easy, but thankfully whoever makes the net ties it into sections.
