Better than I expected
Ok Ladies: it's a pain ordering online and the only way to make it easier is to share measurements:I'm 5' 6" . 118 lbs. Inseam 31 1/2, 35 hips, waist 27. I ordered XS.When I first unpackaged them, they reminded me of some of my hiking pants. They almost have a feel of having a nylon blend but I don't see any nylon on label.Any way they fit. They are very fitted to the knee and then there's a slight flare. I didn't think these were that stretchy but they are surprisingly stretchy. There's a little room to spare in the waist but not in the hips. Label says ok to put in dryer but I won't chance it.

High waist and made for women with junk in the trunk
Love these pants! They sit higher up on the waist and stay up! It has been a struggle to find an outdoor pant for women with some junk in the trunk... every other pant I ordered would be too tight in the derrière and way to loose around the waistline! This pant is not the case! It fits perfectly! I am a size 12 pant and ordered the large and I love the fit... it is snug but doesn’t look too tight! Super comfortable and I love the higher waist on these pants! I own 2 other Columbia back beauty pants and I HATED how low the pants would sit! This is a wonderful addition to Columbia’s Clothing collection and I hope they never discontinue this pant! This is a game changer for me and something I can wear outdoors or for travel! Just bought another pair after trying these on!

I absolutely love the material these pants are made of! I was very pleasantly surprised at how much I loved the material. The sizing is my only issue. The medium is a bit snug and the large are too big. I would assume that is because I am no longer a true size 10 (since I've put on some weight, I'm more like an 11 now). The large seems more like a 14, not a 12. But I don't want to discourage anyone from buying these pants. They are stretchy, lightweight, and I love the simplicity of the design. They are the type of pants you can wear to the office, and outdoors. I think the price point is fair as well. I am only disappointed because for me, the fit was not perfect.

Not An Upgrade
These are unfortunately nothing like the original Back Beauties. They are cut like a skinny jean and it is not an improvement in looks or ease of movement. The old version hung perfectly and were loose enough to be excellent hiking pants but not look sloppy, these manage to be somewhat restrictive yet not fitted in a way that is flattering. Unfortunate.

Weird Fit
From my wife: I own several of the Columbia Women's Anytime Casual Pull On Pants and wear them regularly for travel and hiking. These fit wrong in every way.

Fantastic!!
Purchased on a whim. I am a solid 4 with Columbia pants/shorts overall and the small are "fitted" on me. The mid rise is fabulous and the hug on me is perfection. Athletic build with some booty and you will be superbly happy. I see some comments about them being a weird fit but for me they are as if they were made for my shape. I work for my quads and butt and have a "boyish" waist so if you are super curvy, these might be problematic. The stretch is just right and these can be worn casual as well as dressed up. I am 5'4" and these look great with some heel as well. When I first unwrapped them and held them up, I was not convinced; put them on and was pleasantly surprised on the look and fit. Not to be missed!

Almost dressy and very comfortable
I was looking for some pants that were comfortable, not too tight, and looked a little dressy. I found them! I have enjoyed this pair of pants so much that I ordered them in another color. I am 5'8", 150-155 pounds, and I ordered a medium. They are a little loose and a little long but I like it that way.

Weird fit at the ankle
The pants were fitted all the way to the ankle where it did a weird flare out. They should have been fitted at the ankle like legging. Perfect material and stretch for hiking but looked weird on me at the bottom. I am 5’7” slim build XS

Extremely weird cut
This is not my first pair of Columbia pants, so imagine my surprise when I put these on and discovered this weird cut. It's like two backsides were sewn together, with big excess of material at the front. Pulling the pants up doesn't help either, unless you want to walk around with a huge camel toe. Returning and not recommending.
