The size adjuster/slider tends to get snagged on belt loops, and takes some added dexterity to get it pulled all the way around the waist/through all of the loops). 2. The size adjuster/slider is a little difficult to operate (both good and bad… it wont slip, but again… dexterity comes into play). It ships as a single piece. **Q: Break strength?** A: After 7 years of almost daily use, the first part to break was the metal adjustment peice. Otherwise the belt is still going strong. **Q: can you wash it?** A: You can wash the fabric portion by hand. I would not recommend machine washing. Hang dry.
