Was looking for something to put at the end of our long driveway as a package-drop, since delivery vans often cannot make it up to the house. This is inexpensive, very easy to put together, and holds a lot. It is fairly light weight and the lid does not secure in any way, so a good strong wind will rip the lid off or blow the box away. This won't be a problem if you are using it somewhere sheltered from the wind. To use it as a package-drop out by the road, I am weighting it down with cinderblocks inside and on top and may end up drilling through and bolting it to the mail box post. I would definitely purchase this again for outdoor storage in a sheltered area or in a shed or barn. ****After using this for almost four years, I am amending my original review and going from four stars to five. The first good strong wind did indeed blow this box down the road, but a cinder block inside solved that without having to bolt it to the mailbox post. I was afraid the weight of the cinderblock would warp the floor panel, but that has not happened. Although the lid does not latch in any way, I have not had any problem with it blowing open and have not had to weigh down the lid as anticipated. There has never been any water or snow inside the box, even after being buried for a week by a massive snowstorm and then plowed under when we finally got the driveway cleared. This has been subjected to the worst weather Vermont has to offer, including blistering hot sun, torrential rain, high winds, flooding, and countless ice and snowstorms. It really isn't any worse for the wear and I am very happily surprised at how sturdy this is. It turned out to be a very good investment.

I accidently came across this item while searching for another type of storage box. A few days later, my husband said we needed a new storage box for his charcoal on the deck. He was trying to move it with his foot and kicked a hole through the side of it. He looked it over and found another hole that had been kicked in it. This was just a basic storage box but apparently it was not for outdoor use. I had already looked at this and checked the reviews so we decided to give it a try. We love it This holds not only his charcoal but his chimney starter, utensils, wood chips, newspapers to start the charcoal, his horse shoes, his washers game, outdoor lights, citronella candles, and who knows what else! It was SOOOO easy to put together. I am blind (yes, that's right) and I put it together with only the help of our 8-week old puppy. She did an excellent job of chewing on the bottom piece of the box. There was no damage whatsoever! I am confident that this deck box is strong and sturdy and will last for several years. ***Here's an update...7 months later and we still love it! We have added some other storage bins inside to keep it a bit more organized. Those newspapers and wood chips were everywhere! It is surprisingly easy to open and close but not have to worry about rain getting inside. Everything stays dry. It even makes a great seat when I don't want to pull the cushions out for the patio chairs. My puppy did continue to chew on one corner of the lid for a while. She roughed up the corner a tiny bit but not enough for it to cause any problem whatsoever. (I can't say the same for the hammock, she ate through the entire thing!) I would not hesitate to buy another one!

I bought the box last November. I live in Texas. It arrived in a flat box. The assembly was amazingly easy and fast. I have it nearly full with tools, cat litter, dog treats, etc. It is a nice size, but make sure that you know the measurements of the box to avoid being disappointed of your items not fitting. It looks great on my porch. It has kept the weather out of it; it stays shut. I saw another review mentioning "no latch", it does not claim to have a latch and it does not have one. If you want to lock things up, this is not the box for you. I will definitely purchase another Suncast Box if I need one. It is a great product at a great price. I hope this helped in your decision making. Update December 2012: This box is great. None of my items have gotten wet. It has been sitting in direct sunlight and gets rained on, was hit with hail a couple of times and has sat there through rain storms and downpours. Updated August 2014: Still using this box. The strong winds and rains are still not getting inside it. There is a little bit of sun fading going one but I don't mind that at all! Also of note, so far, there have been no wasp or other bugs nesting inside!!!! Great product!!!!

This storage box is a good medium size and works well for the pool supplies I wanted to store. It is relatively easy to put together and you don’t need tools. It is a snap together structure. It is lightweight so nearly anyone could assemble and place it before filling it. It is fairly sturdy for the material it is made of. The directions could be better. The parts are marked F for Front, R for rear and so on but the directions don’t mention this. Also it would be helpful if the pieces had arrows or some markings indicating front, back, left and right. For the most part snapping these together was simple and worked well. One piece was a bit off so had to apply pressure and pounding with a mallet. The top, though likely water tight from rain, closes somewhat loosely. I believe that is the way it is fashioned but again it is difficult to tell exactly how it is meant to close. It is perfect for what I needed and a great deal for the price.

Solid storage container for outdoor items seldom used. Good value and included shipping is a nice bonus, arriving right at home without lugging anything him. Also very easy to assemble in about 5-6 minutes! Many sizes available from Suncast/Amazon so measure and choose carefully.

Ya había comprado una vez, y se canceló el envío, me devolvieron mi dinero; me pareció bien producto y lo quise x de nuevo, pero estando en servicio de paquetería, una vez no llego y se canceló la compra; lo volví a comprar por segunda ocasión (sería la tercera con mismo vendedor) y nuevamente se canceló la compra después de casi 1 mes de espera, terminaron por devolverme mi dinero. Deberían cambiar de servicios de paquetería, porque les afectará en su reputación. Vendedor y producto excelente, paquetería pésimo.
