Good value
The action is very firm, and the camera (not included, obviously!) can be easily set to any position. I don't use the phone mount, but it's simple and effective - spring-loaded and will hold something as small as an iphone 4. I use a small video camera mounted on the screw (standard camera mount). Just a couple of issues with the camera mount: 1. The handle at the camera end, which allows adjustment of the camera angle up or down, also grips the rod with the screw thread that the camera mounts on to. So when this is tightened to fix the angle of the rod, the rod can't be turned to mount or dismount the camera; you need to rotate the camera rather than the rod! This is easy enough once you get used to it, just potentially confusing or annoying at first. 2. The camera mounting rod can be tilted forward or back, but not sideways. The camera can obviously be turned sideways, but if the rod is not vertical then the camera will lean over to one side. In other words, if you want maximum camera angles available - up and down when turned to the side as well as forward - it would be better to find a stand with a ball-joint at this end, or perhaps a goose-neck. Otherwise, this is a sturdy enough mount, well made, which holds even a heavy camera steady.

Very good , easy to configure
Very good overall apart from phone holder which comes lose on the threads but not a major issue

This is the affordable scissor clamp you're looking for. Perf for Microphone/webcam/phone
This is the one, every single scissor arm around this price point looks the same so I was really hesitant to just grab one out of fear of it being worse than shown or overpriced. But this is what you're looking for, it's metal and solid and it comes with a firm and convenient phone clip. It goes wide enough to hold my P20 Pro, which is one of the wider phones about. It wouldn't hold anything much bigger though. I'll be purchasing a second of these to hold a microphone in the future. It'll hold most of any condenser/dynamic microphone without a sweat. It's a 3/8" screw though, so you might need to get an adjuster screw for your mic clip. The screw is the same thread as my partners CANON DSLR EOS1300, and it holds the camera fairly well but that's its capacity. If you want to hold a dslr with this I recommend getting a purpose built tripod instead, this'll do the job but you'll shorten the lifespan of the scissor arm and your camera is worth more.

Misleading advert, support language barrier maybe?
I ordered this specifically for the depth of the clamp, it clearly states in the image that this has been re designed and that the new clamp is now made from cast, and opens wider to a depth of 2.1inches. This added depth is what I needed for the thicker than standard 8x8 Ikea bookshelf unit which is just shy of 2 inch deep. The original order arrived from china (I think) with the OLD clamp inside, after contacting the seller and explaining the issue they sent out another, Again another wait for the replacement to arrive, this unfortunately was not the new style either, maybe a large batch of old stock they are getting shot of? This one too had the old style clamp still not suitable for the job I had planned on using it for. Despite sending a google drive share link the seller said the link didn't work, tried sending the link again, I work in IT so I know how to create links.... Figured I would review and share the images here instead. Don't get me wrong the stand itself for the money is fine, it will do the job fine, I just wanted to mount it much higher than I am able to.

A good quality budget camera arm
I bought this to hold an SLR over my studio table. The camera weighs about 1kg. The arm manages to support it very well, particularly if I tighten the screws on the hinges once I have it in the correct position. I am very pleased with my purchase and very relieved that the arm is strong enough to manage an SLR instead of a webcam.

Just what i needed for my streaming webcam!
I recently invested in a Logitech Brio Pro Streaming webcam, and found the included monitor mount for it to be lacking, and not able to support the camera at the angle I needed, so when I went looking for a tripod style stand and found this, I thought I would give it a go. It meets my needs perfectly! I have it clamped to my desk just behind my secondary monitor (easily clamps on) and it extends up and above the screen, being easily manoeuvrable to whichever angle i require. The webcam mounts directly onto it via the thread built onto the mount, and the scissor arm has Velcro straps along it to make cable management easy. It comes with an additional phone/tablet holder mount that can be screwed onto the thread should you wish to use the mount for other purposes. Overall I am extremely pleased with this product. It is well constricted and looks great, matching the feel/theme of my setup. Would highly recommend!

Came with literally jut the arm, no attachments to get it to attach to a surface or anything for the camera to go on. Seller literally said its still usable.....ok hun will prop it in a flower pot and gaffa tape the camera on? honestly save your money and go else where theyve offered me 15% for something that is totally unusable

It’s quite long and if you have a desk longer than 140cm it will not reach the exact middle. It worked well and quite robust.
