K&N Cold Air Intake System: High-Flow Air-Filter, Increase Performance & Horsepower: Compatible with 2004-2008 HONDA S2000, 63-3514

Installed on my AP2. I can’t believe KNN is charging $400 for this. Figured it’s a quality and well known brand. Boy was I wrong. Instruction blueprint lay out is decent. The instructions themselves are terrible and some of the instruction photos do not match the parts in the kit. Kit was missing 2 nuts and one screw and one of the nuts was an incorrect size, clearly not part of the kit. The tube itself seems cheap and not finished well. Purchased a $70 ebay kit for my Ap1 last year which is of much better quality. The sounds is good and the finished look is clean, but please do your research and buy something better people.

For 200 dollar, this modification replaces the factory air cleaning box also called the intake. The design of this unit gives the car a little bit more noticeable power in the higher RPM range along with a nice deep tone as you punch the gas petal. While driving normally, I will notice a 3 MPG gain over the factory air box with a clean filter. Over all I am very happy with this product and recommend this to everyone,

Noticeable seat of the pants increase and great intake growl. Easy install(dont rush it). Probably the best deal for the money for a complete intake system on the s2000. It really cleans up the engine bay area and with the cold air box instead of the lower intake design draggin the ground I dont worry about puddles. I recommend pulling your computer fuse or battery cable to let the car relearn the amount of air available. Even with the stock exhaust on the car it really makes great noises. My install was on an 06 model.

I agree with the other review here. While I did not note a big increase in power the sound quality is much better then the stock air box. I think it is more quiet at idle but lets loose a more throaty sound at WOT, especially when VTEC kicks in it screams. Also have not noted any drone to the exhaust sound. I also have noted a slight increase in gas mileage as well, maybe 1-2 miles a gallon. Since the S2k was built as a near perfect car it takes a lot of coin to make more horsepower, have to go forced induction. But for just a little change it is well worth the price. My advice is to stay away from low snorkel types if you have change of driving in rain. Hydrolock on your engine is bad. This keeps your intake up high in the stock location so low chance of that happening. Took less then an hour to install and that was only because my son was helping. I drive a 2007 LBP and have had this exhaust for maybe 3 years now with no problems with engine codes or not passing my state inspections.
