New OEM/Original Battery for Apple MacBook Pro 13" Unibody A1322 A1278 63.5WH

FIrst this is a case of deceptive advertising. The ad clearly says NEW OEM original battery by Apple. Implying this is being sold by Apple. It isn't, it is a Lizone refurb. The sticker is right on the battery. I ordered this on the 9th of Oct. and it arrived on the 18th, so not very fast shipping for a prime member. I decided to try it because I am leaving the country on Monday and need my laptop. After installing it the battery will not charge and it says replace immediately for a battery status. Really frustrating.I am having more and more problems with Amazon retailers lately, I REALLY hope Amazon doesn't become like ebay.

Not OEM original battery.This is the second battery I buy in three months. I bought the other one from another vendor and it was sold as not OEM original. It failed within a month.I bought this because it was presented as original. I got it and, to my surprise, it is identical to the other.***Lowering to one star. Not even two months and System Report says "Service Battery".

UPDATE:I've owned several Mac laptops, and bought several replacement batteries. This is the absolute worst battery ever. First off, the battery when it was delivered, was hardly new (see below). The battery managed to work passably well for about 6 months - then performance took a nosedive. By 9 months (30 charging cycles) it had 10% capacity and the Mac worked for 15 minutes maximum. The battery swelled up so badly I couldn't use the trackpad click, and the MacBook case was distorted. The peddler was unsympathetic, despite the battery being well under the promised 1 year warranty (unfortunately, I can't review them anymore). Wrong. This indeed seems to be an OEM part - the writing on the battery is identical to the old one. BUT, after getting it installed and checking its status, turns out the battery is 30 months old! Hardly new. Lithium batteries have a finite shelf life - and this was pretty apparent after using it. After only 10 charging cycles, the battery has now lost over 10% of its capacity. That translates into a usable life of less than 100 cycles - far less than the 300+ cycles Apple promises for its original batteries.I was on my way out of the country when i bought this - otherwise i would have returned it. (The vendor did give me a small rebate.) I'd recommend steering clear unless you're desperate. In the past, i've have good luck with aftermarket batteries that are just as good or better quality than the original.

I purchased this battery no more than a few months ago. It was perfect for the beginning, but for the last month the battery has not been able to hold a charge for even one hour. works as a compatible or identical replacement for the original battery. It shows about 5 hours life when fully charged. And warns when it's low so I can recharge. I didn't wait to see if my MBP would go to sleep on its own.A few months ago I tried a replacement battery from UBattery, which did not accurately report remaining charge. So my MBP would suddenly shut off, risking loss of data or even damage. This battery costs a little more but does not have that problem.UPDATE May 28:Lowering to three stars, from four.Fully charged only lasts about 3-4 hours of use. I browse the web, watch some video clips, nothing too energy-intense. I had one instance where my MacBook shutdown (cold restart) with 20 minutes supposedly remaining on the battery. I haven't tried waiting to see if it will automatically go into sleep mode when calculated battery time reaches zero. I suspect it will not.

This battery never truly worked and certainly is not new. I purchased this 2 months ago, but it never held a charge, the charge would only last 2-3 hours at most. I ignored that warning sign, and today the battery completely failed! Thankfully I have an appointment at an Apple Store to buy a brand new battery there, what I should've done to start with, but now I'm out $60 from this pointless battery! Never again! And buyer beware!
