Always use this sugar for most everything. You don’t need to use as much as regular sugar in things like hot tea and adds a light caramel taste.

There's a subtle difference in this Turbinado that adds a deeper, richer flavor to my tea, and my baking.

I have been using raw sugar for several years but this is the first time using this brand. The sugar was as hard as a rock in the bag but I wasn't concerned. I banged the bag to break it up so that I could put the sugar in my food processor to make the sugar usable. As the processor was working I could hear something hitting the blade. I was horrified to find stones in the sugar. Some were too small to separate from the sugar. I took pictures of some of the stones before throwing the sugar away. Please check your sugar before you use it.
