I Want to Be Buried with This Cornishware Mug
Durable? For five years now, thrice a day every day, I've drunk my coffee out of this mug. Dropped it a few times, washed it by hand. And there's not a scratch or a crack on it. Attractive? Tonight, watching The Chelsea Detective, I noticed that the DCI was drinking out of a handsome mug. MY mug. Same rich red and white stripes. That's what inspired me to write this review. Inexpensive? Absolutely not. But this grand ceramic mug (from England, not China) will surely outlive me. That is, unless we go down together!

Nice substantial size mug
Very pretty color , big enough to enjoy a frothy cappuccino or a hot chocolate with lots of whip cream

Sturdy and Large
This is a well-made, sturdy, large and quite lovely mug that's perfect for a cup of coffee (or tea) in the morning. I love Cornishware kitchenware and while the company moved to China, the official website reveals they are moving production back to the UK. I look forward to ordering more pieces in different colors.

Not what I expected
The mug is big and sturdy but the one I got is definitely not red and white - it’s off-white, almost tan. Very disappointing as I was expecting red and white. Cannot recommend seller or product.

Initially I thought was too big but ended up loving it!
As indicated above, I initially thought this mug was too large and heavy. However it has truly grown on me and I love it! It's wonderful for warm/hot beverages and warms your hands while you enjoy your beverage!

Made in China? Or Cornwall?
I am happy to pay a premium for Cornishware that is advertised as Made in England and with that comes a certain heritage and craftsmanship. Cornishware was introduced in the 1920s and manufactured in Church Gresley, Derbyshire...that is, until the company ceased production in June 2007 when the factory closed. Now, the products are Made in China and no longer have the same appeal. Sorry. Returning the coffee mug.
