CCNP and CCIE Security Core SCOR 350-701 Official Cert Guide 1st Edition

A good broad coverage of the Cisco Security technologies. What you know test at the beginning and review test at the end help solidify the material in each of the chapters. A large amount of links are included to various Cisco and other Outside websites that cover topics in more detail. I have bookmarked and visited many to brush up more indepth on the topics covered in the book. It complemented the Cisco online web training very well.

I have not been one to spend a lot of money on exam study resources, but this book was very well worth the cost. It was full of information and organized such that I could easily identify areas I needed to study more exhaustively while making it easy to skim the areas I already new better while still making sure I knew the important information.

It is a great book since now. I've read 2 chapters and it is really good. There is only an issue with my code for access to the Pearson Test Prep. I received a code on my mail but when I put in to the Pearson page it does not work.

The book is just OK. You can barely make out all screenshots in the book. I believe the author has tried to squeeze in as many topics as possible in the book which then falls short on content delivery.Update April 2021The book is plague with numerous silly errors where information in examples do not match up (i.e. GRE tunnel command that being applied to wrong interface - GRE page 484. One IP being used on first router and a totally different IP being referred on second router - DMVPN page 488-489) just to name a few

A lot of questions that are asked on this exam are not covered in this book. Although it says “official guide”, you will not pass this exam with this book alone, I can guarantee you that.

the Figure not clear with Amazon Kindle.

The author himself states this in the second paragraph of chapter 12 of the book. It is only an AID to HELP you on your JOURNEY to passing the exam. You must have years of hands on configuration experience with a vast array of Cisco tools to pass the test and recommends your acquire these products in your own lab.I see absolutely no value in or a reason to purchase this book.

is a good book, sometimes it goes more than what is necessary and some times it lacks of information on some topics. In the exam you'll be asked for a cli input and interpreter it or 'chose the best answer' kind of question based on the input given, this book DOES NOT cover any of that. Good book, do not use it as your only resource.PD: Got the kindle version which does not do a good job with screenshot images, if you can better get the hardbook
