iSpring HB28B Whole House Water Filter Housing, 20" x 4.5" Universal Housing for Whole Home Water Filtration w/ 1" NPT Ports Pre-Filtration System

I purchased this filter housing and installed the 5 micron sentiment filter. I noticed a huge improvement in our well water clarity and taste! I have a well with this whole house filter after an ISpring 50 micron pre-filter and before an ISpring UV light filter. I have noticed a very slight decrease in pressure but a huge improvement in our water clarity and taste. I did have a small leak in the connections. I found using the heavy duty blue teflon tape with three even wraps stopped the leaks without excessive tightening. The housing and bracket are very good quality and installation was easy. The only problem I encountered was that this filter and the pre-filter weren’t the same distance from the wall with outlets and inlets. I had to put a half inch spacer on the pre-filter bracket to get them to align. ISpring Customer Service (Michele) is amazingly responsive and has American Customer Service Representatives that know their products. Highly recommend this filter and ISpring Filters for the essential components to a filter system.

Great filter for my well pump feeding my house's water. The blue housing doesn't screw in completely so there's a small gap at the top. Nick at iSpring was helpful in ensuring me that was normal, and in fact there were no leaks once I turned on the system. I have no pressure drop from this and a sediment filter installed.

The iSpring WGB12B housing is heavy duty and straightforward to install. Our municipal water quality is good with the exception of the chlorine smell and taste, which the carbon block filter that came with the kit removed. Registering the system was a little cumbersome via email, but Sean with iSpring has been very responsive, which is a good sign if I should ever have warranty or technical support questions.

I have to start by saying I got this as a supplement for my 3 stage unit I also bought. My water is super nasty so I wanted the extra filtering. So, why the 4 stars? Well, the bracket gets that star removal. It is not the same size as the 3 unit bracket. In other words, if you try to mount this, as I did, in line with the other unit you will find that the bracket sticks out to far. I had to remove the unit and remove the bracket and re-install the filter. It is now hanging in the universe. That seems fine since I used a brass connector. Other than that, this filter is perfect. BTW. This thing is H. U. G. E. So have the unit before you settle on a location. I think the measurement does not include the mount. You will love this, so please buy it with confidence. It is really nice to have much cleaner water. My eyes used to burn in the shower if I got water in them. Not any more. Amazing.

After Installation there was a noticible difference in smell and taste! I can't speak for long term, but as of day one it does everything I hoped it would. We have city water and I liked idea that this filter both filters as double and triple filters do, but has twice the carbon filtration as the double filter style. Also does 100,000 gallons compared to 50,000, and cheaper. Unless you have visible particles in your water this system is all you need. Job should have taken me hour. But here's a couple things I learned. First use Teflon tape on the 1 in fittings that enters and exits fitter assembly, before you tighten everything down and test for leaks. Second, shop amazon for crimping tool, about half price and it'll come with the needed clamps. Lastly a mistake I nearly made, double check the flow of water. I was certain I knew which was in and out. Tested and guess I was wrong. Easy installation, I did some reading before hand about pex fittings etc. Used poly fittings as they are half the price of brass, and 10 times cheaper that shark bite. Oringial pipping in my house had been done in poly so didn't see point of upgrading this one part. Plus side I have a tool to make future repairs, and still spent less than shark bite would have cost.

I wanted to remove the chlorine from my house so I installed a 3m whole house chlorine filter and I figured why not install a sediment filter to catch an large debris. Well, to my surprise that's what my ispring sediment filter looks like after 1 year! That's a ton of rust. I am now changing every 3-6 months as the filters are pretty reasonably priced. On my last filter change a small nipple that sits inside the housing snapped off... I called Isping customer service and spole to Nick who was super helpful! I emailed him a picture of the broken piece and my information. He quickly replied to my email with the tracking information for a new housing replacement. Awesome product and even better customer service! Thank you.

The product is the best money can buy. Not just in its aesthetics but its functionality. I have tried every brand, but they are only a hoax. This product not only fulfills its filtering capacity but is so easy to clean. The wrench they give with the product is redundant. You can open and close the filter housing with bare hands. A good product needs a good support team. They have one headed by an aggressively consumercentric Sean.

Unit is of good quality, the only problem is it doesn't come with fittings , which are unobtainable in britain, unit is American. Threads are not compatible, had to order fittings from America.

I use iSpring's big blue filters and UV for the entire house and have a 6 stage RO faucet for drinking water and the entire system has been working great for years!! In the RO system it has brought the water down from 140ppm to 0-10ppm and it tastes great! I highly recommend all of iSpring's products and also their customer service (thanks Nick, you were a great help)
