Cold Steel Colichemarde Dagger with Uniquely Shaped Blade,Silver

It’s a gorgeous, simple blade! Came packaged well and sharp, and oiled appropriately. It is very solid and feels good in the hand. I have not tested the edge, nor do I plan to, as I bought it as a display piece. It looks great on my wall.

The blade came adequately sharp out of the box, everything is symmetrical except how the blade sits in its sheath, a small nit pick but that is to be expected from a mass produced blade.

This is the fourth dagger I've ordered from Cold Steel via Amazon. Unlike the rest, this one has a very good fit and finish. The edge is not hair cutting sharp, but it will slice skin if you need it to. The scabbard fits well. Removing the packing grease was not as difficult as with the other daggers. I am quite pleased with this unit, and for what I paid, it was very good value for money. It is quite wieldable and should do well in CQ melee.

The dagger, while beautiful, came packaged extremely poorly. The, (rancid smelling), blade oil it came coated in had literal chunks of dirt and sand-like grit in it. On top of that, the blade is not only not sharp, I’d call it ‘aggressively dull’ as if someone ground down the edge against a brick. It is completely incapable of cutting paper or cardboard, even with significant effort. I can literally run my finger down the edge of the blade unharmed. Luckily I have my own sharpening stones because, as received, it’s essentially a big, dagger-shaped paperweight. Not worth the price at all, maybe if it was $50 cheaper, and only if you feel confident in sharpening it on your own.

Edge came really rough with lots of burrs, there is some dried glue or epoxy near the crossguard, a bit of wire pokes out near the pommel (but only like a millimeter) but besides those things it's an somewhat decent dagger

Cold Steel can be hit and miss, but mine arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. There is no double bevel on the sharpened edges like their cheaper models and mine was polished to mirror perfection. The Colichemarde dagger does not have a unique blade shape like the sword, but it's quite light and feels wonderful in the hand. It also looks fantastic and would suit costume wear or martial arts well if the blade is blunted.

Nice clean wire wrapped hilt. Overall a good looking piece, I look forward to using it for stage combat after taking the edge off.

Dagger not sharp . Seems like someone drug blade on sandpaper… Not recommended

Feinste Hieb- und Stichwaffe, gut ausbalanciert. Nur der ovale Ring zwischen Parier und Drahtwicklung ist etwas locker, für mich aber kein Grund zur Rückgabe ;)
