PC NetwoRx Pure Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) Powder (1 Pound)

I have, no, it's had brown staining on my pool steps in my salt water pool. These stains are from metal oxidation in the water. There are plenty of very expensive pool stain removers out there but why spend a lot on something that's main ingredient is Ascorbic acid when you can just buy it for less on Amazon. This is pure Rx grade ascorbic acid and just 1/2 cup of it made the pool steps pearly white in less than a minute. A helpful hint if you decide to try this is first turn off your pool pump so the water is not circulating the stuff away from where you are trying to unstain and use a piece of pvc pipe, a funnel and a cup to get it straight down on lower areas such as the bottom step. Simply pour a small amount into the cup, put the funnel on the top of the pipe and place the pipe down flush against the step. Then pour acid into the funnel making sure it empties down into the pipe, lift the pipe slightly and blow the water out of the pipe.It will delivery it right where you need it. Remember Ascorbic acid will lower your chlorine levels so be sure to check your chlorine for a few days.

boom! worked great.have metal in pool water. when I added shock treatment to pool, water turned greenish yellow.after a lot of reading and head scratching, I ordered and used Ascorbic Acid ( vitamin C ).the results were immediate.couldn't be more pleased.

I usei it on my fiberglass pool and it is the only thing that will take out stains and make my walls blue blue and new > love it

Great way to get vitamin C. I put about a 1/4 to 1/2 tsp in everyone of my diet colas. Delightful, tangy taste.

Did not remove the iron stain in the pool.

Gotta have my Vit C so easy to measure and consume.
