No-NonSense Home Organization Makes Sense👌
The No-Nonsense Home Organization Plan: 7 Weeks to Declutter in Any Space by Kim Davidson Jones is organized in content and simple in approach, which is exactly what you would expect in a book that helps you hone your organizational skills. Even the print font is easy on the eye in this quick read.Ms. Jones presents a clear, although elementary at times, and positive direction in her deadline-oriented approach. Her basic formula for organization is to sort through the clutter and categorize the items (donate; recycle; sell; toss) in each room of the household as you determine what items are the keepers. However, chapter after chapter, it becomes a repetitive 1-2-3-4 reel and the author herself at times sounds apologetic about the repetition. For instance, “You are used to the drill.”What deserves the book’s selling price, at least for sentimental me, is “Rule 4, Be strong when it comes to sentimental items.” Overall, the book gently guides readers in the letting-go process, which is by no means easy but, step-by-step, day-by-day, doable.Thank you for taking the time to read my review, and if you find it Helpful, please click the “Helpful” button below. Delightful Book
I read a lot of books on organization. This little book did not disappoint! I also enjoy the whimsical layout of the book and the small-ish size. Very practical and encouraging.

Common-Sense, Practical Instruction for Anyone
I have been struggling with letting go of clutter and keeping an organized home for several years.Once I started having kids, it became this insurmountable task to keep things not just organized, but it was impossible for me to actually get rid of anything that anyone gave us.This book not only tackles the room by room, but also tackles the emotional side of "stuff." I like that the author gets the fact that much of the clutter in our lives is from the inability to let something go that holds a lot of memories, but isn't necessarily practical to keep. I like that she suggests taking pictures of some of the impractical to keep, that way you can still see it, you can still relive those memories, but you can sell it, donate it, etc so someone else can make memories with it, too.I like that this author tells you to take EVERYTHING out of the space you want to organize. I've never done that before... and it just made so much sense. You take everything out so you will have a blank canvas, and then you really take a hard look at every little thing you will be putting back into that space, and decide if it stays, or goes.My husband was so inspired by what I had been doing in the house, that he organized the entire garage this past weekend, and he felt so free and so good when it was done!My home feels so spacious and clean now. I recommend this for anyone who may not know where or how to start on organizing their space.*I received a copy of this book for review, but the rating and opinions are my own. Good starting point for non-full-time workers
This book was written in a clear, conversational way. Provides a timeframe for taking on home decluttering. A valuable guide for those who "don't know where (or how) to start."
