Perfect for my vampire costume and great quality for the price. As other reviewers stated, this runs small but still gave 5 stars because I was so impressed with the quality. I normally would order a 1x but based on those reviews I ordered a 2x. I am 5'8, 205lbs and wear a size 16 and this fit well. It is a little big in the chest area but I am small chested. My daughter got the purple one in the same size. She is shorter and a little heavier and it fit her well too. It is a stretchy material so there is give. Just a little tip....I used double sided fabric tape to keep the sleeves folded over.

This costume is truly beautiful! The purple color is very rich looking. If you have very large upper arms, it may be a tad bit tight but I found the sleeves to be comfortable. Please note that the sleeves are very long and draping as they appear in the photo and the actual length of the dress is long too. If you are under 5'5", wear heels so that the dress doesn't drag on the floor as you walk. Taller girls (5'6" and above) will probably have the dress hit right above your ankles. The draw string ties are made of simple ribbon so I was afraid to pull them too tight, but it is somewhat adjustable. This costume is very figure flattering and the color block panels make you appear to be slimmer than you actually may be. I got this in a 3X and I normally wear a size 18/20. If you have a small waist, you could definitely size down but I carry my weight in my mid-section so I wanted to be safe and sized up. The hood is ample and what is nice about it is that the inside is purple too, so if you fold it back, you can see the color. Otherwise, you can just wear it totally over your face, "Grim Reaper" style. All in all.. I really liked this costume and got lots of compliments.

I’m 5’4 225lbs. I normally wear a 2x but for some things I go up a size. I’m glad I did for this costume because it fit just right(3x). If I would have gone with a 2x it would have been too small. Otherwise I’m very happy with this purchase. The material is good quality and doesn’t feel cheap. Especially for the price. I can see myself getting many uses/wears out of this costume. It’s also nice a warm if you plan to be outside.

California Costumes Plus-Size Deluxe Hooded Robe, Red/black, 2XL (18-20) Costume This is an amazing costume - California Costumes really do an awesome job. The sizing on these particular costume dresses, however, seems way off from what I usually wear. but, and I stress this, the whole sizing thing could very well be me. At a 36DD, it can be challenging to find complete pieces that fit. I usually wear anywhere from an 8 to a 10 to a 12, depending on the piece and how it's made. This was order attempt #4, and although it's a bit roomy, it can be taken in very easily, and has been the best fit thus far. All in all, I'm happy with it would give it 10 stars if that was a choice.

I love the costume and it is well made....but I don't think it fits a person that is size 18-20. It is too tight in the top (hello I've got boobs!) My mother-in-law are having to take it out and sew in new fabric so it will fit for the Halloween party I will be attending. Also, we plus size girls don't always have thin arms, and the the arms are a bit tight as well. California Costumes should think about that...if it is for a plus size woman, they usually have meat on their bones. I have plenty of tops that are size 18-20 (maybe a lil smaller even) and they fit my chest and arms just fine. I would say this is more along the lines of an XL not a XXXL. I will fix it and make it work though! The length is great(especially since I am wearing 5 inch heels), and I love the big bell on the bottom of the sleeves, also the hood stays on my head (which makes me happy, because I don't want it falling down all night.) Overall it's a nice costume, just wish companies would realize there are women with big boobs and meat on their bones!

Is it Halloween yet??? I was very worried after reading the reviews on this that I was going to get the wrong size. I spent hours reading and deciding what the truest fit would be for me ... I am a 14/16 and a 40DD and 5'7". So after debating I went with the 2x. This gown fit me in all the right places with flow still to be had. A little long -however, when I added heels it was just right. Sleeves are a bit long but I can fix that to my liking. Hood is a little big which is nice so it still drapes when sat on crown of the head. Not sure if I will use the string to tighten center as I have access ribbon hanging down even after tied- however, I will play with it between now and my evening out. Made nicely however it will be a spot clean only material for me.
