Eventually, it wears off and needs to be replaced, about every 3-5 months. While it is on the denture, it is as if it becomes part of the denture. In fact to remove it (for replacement purposes) you have to soak it in extremely hot water and peal it off. Hope I've answered your question. **Q: Does it set up hard and smooth or soft and rubbery? They may be a little soft at first but in less than 12 hours they are relatively hard.
