BerghoffCast Iron Slotted Steak Press

This tool basically replaces a panini press because of it's weight, but you must use your own push-press 'umphs' to flatten/press a sandwich a couple of 'umphs' then leave the press on the sandwiches for a few minutes. I cook on med, 3-5 mins. per side of a pumpernickle reuben sandwich then turn over. I'm so glad I bought the Berghoff. It weighs 3lbs and covers two reg. size sandwiches in a saute' pan. You will get a nice toasted side to your sandwich breads with this press. So much nicer than the unsatisfactory results you will get with the panini; so much easier to clean than a panini press.

I love the fact that the handle stays cool as long as you don't touch the metal parts. It also has a good weight to it.

It is very heavy and covers my 10" pans well, and still fits on a dinner plate when turning the bacon, would love it if you made an 11" press, as several pans are 12" for the larger gas burners on modern stoves.

Does your bacon curl? Then buy this product, you will never regret it.

Nice weight 5.2 lbs an the10 inch round very hard to find. Easy clean up great for steaks an Butterfly. Chicken. Use on grill or stove top.

I love this press. It works on all meats and especially bacon. I use it daily.

Press was supposed to be 10" and 5.2 lbs. I received a 9" and 3.5 lbs one. Really Amazon? Waste of my time! Sent back.

I have had a rectangular cast iron cooking weight for a while, and I use it regularly, but I sometimes have to keep moving it around to weigh down different areas or things. I saw this and hesitated to get it for a while. I dont need extra things in my kitchen taking up space. But now that I got it a couple of months ago, I use it all the time.
