This is the single most effective treatment I’ve ever used on my skin. I couldn’t believe it. The day I got it, I used it as my nighttime toner, and woke up next morning with noticeably clearer skin and smaller looking pores. I’ve been using it for about two weeks now, and it has made such a huge difference for me. My acne scars have faded a bit, I have no black heads, and the texture of my skin generally looks so much smoother. I didn’t know anything could work this well for my skin. I have super oily skin and blackheads like crazy. Well, I mean I used to have blackheads like crazy. Now, I use this stuff and my skin looks awesome. It's seriously one of my favorite skin-care products of all time and I can't live without it now. Basically, the liquid sinks into your skin and digs out the gross, clogged up oil in your pores and purges it out. It takes faithful, constant use for complete blackhead eradication, but if you've got really dilated, clogged pores, you will probably see some results immediately. I sure did. I use this once a day after cleansing (usually at night-time so my skin can purge without ruining my makeup). Two pumps is enough for pretty much my whole face. I rub it in a little, but then I let the rest sink in on its own. I leave it for a couple hours and then come back and clean away the purged oil which keeps my skin from getting too irritated from the excess oil everywhere. (You'll see lots of shiny spots on top of where your blackheads are - that means it's working!!) Then I continue with the rest of my routine. Keep in Mind: 1. Your skin has to be the right pH balance for BHA (Salicylic Acid) to work. So that means don't expect to get good results if you use it right after an alkaline cleanser or after a very acidic product like a vitamin C serum (it says on the directions not to use a Vit C and a BHA together anyway). Let your skin return to a normal pH before you use it and let it sink in before you apply anything else. 2. USE SUNSCREEN. For the love of god, please use sunscreen. Salicylic Acid makes your skin photosensitive, and I don't care how well you normally tan - you WILL burn if you go out into the sun using this product, which just gives you more skin problems to worry about. There are plenty of sunscreens out there (Currently I use the Japanese Biore Milk Sunscreen) so find a good one that you like FIRST, and THEN use the BHA. All in all, I love this stuff. It's incredibly effective, but it's also super gentle on my sensitive skin. I have no idea what I did before this, but I am never going back.

I’ve been using this product for about 6 months, and I think I can give a pretty solid review. I have combination, comedone-prone skin, and the main reason I decided to try this was to get rid of my closed comedones. I do think this is a good product in the sense that I saw some improvements in my skin, for example, it helped a lot to minimize the appearance of sebaceous filaments, but I feel this product alone is not enough to achieve the results I was hoping for. When I started using this, I experienced a LOT of purging. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many closed comedones concentrated on my skin in my life. I think this was totally normal since I wasn’t using any kind of exfoliators for months before I started using this, so my skin turnover was kind of “resetting” and bringing out all the congestion from deeper layers. I experienced this for about 3 months, and then I started to notice that many of the comedones began to resolve and dry out, which is when the purging basically ended. However, since I had so many comedones, I decided to get professional facial extractions instead of waiting for them to dissolve on their own, because I honestly couldn’t handle having so many bumps anymore. After the extractions, I wanted to test whether this product could prevent new closed comedones from forming. The answer was basically no, because my comedones are mostly hormonal, so every time I got my period, I would get around five new ones. The thing is, this product does help treat those comedones and eventually helps them resolve, but it works very, very slowly. In my case, the product hadn’t finished getting rid of the old closed comedones when I started getting new ones. What I mean is that this product does work, but very slowly, and for someone like me with very stubborn comedones, it wasn’t enough on its own. What actually helped my skin a LOT, and when I finally started seeing the results I was hoping for, was when I incorporated azelaic acid into my routine and alternated it with this product. When I did that, I noticed how much faster my closed comedones started to resolve, and my skin improved a lot. I’m using the Anua azelaic acid, just in case you’re curious and want to try it too. So in conclusion, this is a good product, but if you have very stubborn, hormonally driven comedones, this product by itself probably won’t be enough. That doesn’t mean the product is bad, it just means some skin types need to try different things until you find what truly works for you, and that process takes time. I hope this review was helpful!
