It’s a great belt for the central abdominal wall hernias as the indurated ball fits into the defect and keeps the hernia reduced. I’m pending surgery and the belt is a life saver. I would not be able to complete the day without it.

If you have a 'umbilical' hernia, this belt will help you immensely. The disc that pushes against the hernia can easily be adjusted when it's on because the velcro is light. On the other hand, adjusting the belt so it's as tight as it needs to be is a snap because the velcro on that part of it is heavy. I'm also impressed with the fact that it's wide enough so it doesn't roll up. All those things are great, but the best part? It's actually comfortable! My only concern with summer coming up? Is the breathability, but you're not going to get a perfect situation without surgery. This is as close as you're going to find.

works pretty well it doesn't roll which I had issues with with some other brands so that is a big plus. But one issue that I have with this band is the same as all the others. The end that you secure to the hook and loop with is the exact same width as the rest of the band so if you wear it on skin even if you line it up exactly you can still feel that scratchy roughness on your skin and that can be uncomfortable. I wish they had made the end 1/2 inch or an inch narrower (or at least the hook and loop stuff) to give just a little bit of alignment play to keep it the scratchy part completely separated from my body.

I had surgery to repair three hernias. I wish I had ordered this product sooner. I like that it is wide to cover the stitches from my breastbone to below my navel. I also appreciate the round Velcro piece that I can place over the umbilical area. It is easy to put on. It is lightweight that I even have slept in it for two nights. I can now turn to my side in bed without too much pain. I still take pain meds in the morning, but I can now do light housekeeping chores.

Update: The last batch of hernia belts I ordered seem to have hit and miss quality control. One of the belts the velcro wasn't even sewn fully to the belt. This is unfortunate as I use these belts every single day. I have an Umbilical hernia that requires support until I'm able to get surgery. This is the only belt I've found that provides sufficient support for my everyday activities. Pros: Reasonably priced Large size for large people Good velcro hold Cons: Becomes malformed with continuous wear. (back and sides start to roll up while wearing it for extended time) Velcro wears out Threads holding the velcro in place begin to give and need resewn fairly quickly. With all of that above, I still recommend this belt over any of the others I've tried.
