First, I am with vacuums like some guys are with cars. I have owned them all! Big expensive ones, like Kirby, Electrolux, Filter Queen, Simplicity, etc. This one beats them all, and especially those in the regular dept store class. It pulls itself across the floor with the power it has! I found it took out dirt that the others had left behind. I love love love the lights! You can see in corners and little dark spaces! The 'lift away' is magnificent, and I find myself using that feature all the time! It hooks back together again super easy. The swivel head is fabulous and the attachments are quality and well designed. That crevice tool with the slide down brush I thought was odd when I ordered this, but in use it is just awesome. It takes care of those unseen (with a vacuum with no lights, they are unseen) cobwebs like magic. I can do all the stairs in the house effortlessly with the lift away power nozzle OR the wonderful little powered hand tool. It was genius to put the power on button on the handle as it goes everywhere you do! This machine is absolutely the bomb for cleaning power, versatility and design My ONLY comment to buyers would be that it does stand tall. I am 5'9" and I think short people would find reaching up to grab that handle would find it harder, and I wish there were a telescoping mechanism to make that main handle a bit shorter for use also. Otherwise, I would take this machine again and again!

EXCELLENT!!! Especially for pet hair and carpets. I have 2 shedding dogs and one especially sheds terribly. I vacuumed with other vacuums on the carpet daily and then I used this one once and it pulled up more hair and dust than I’ve ever seen. So easy to use. Moves well, comes with extra brushes for the stairs and couch. And the cord is really long. Wish I got this vacuum sooner

I love this vacuum it is lightweight and very powerful. It is easy to empty and clean. I liked that you can lift it off and go under furniture with the beater bar. Highly recommend it.

This is my favorite vacuum cleaner that I've ever used. When my roommate moved in, he told me I wouldn't be needing my (now former) vacuum cleaner anymore because he was bringing his fancy vacuum with him. I doubted it, but the first time I used it, I was impressed. When my roommate moved out, I was so sad about losing that vacuum cleaner, I bought this one (the same model) because I didn't want to go without it. Pros: - It has a light in the front of the vacuum base where all of the suction is at - It has a light at the top handle when you detach it from the body of the vacuum to get in the crevices --> this troubled me for years with my old vacuum! I could never really see where I was going when I used my old vacuum in rooms where there were only overhead lights where I cast a big shadow over my vacuuming area - It has fantastic suction - It sucks up into two different containers - one big container for all of the dirt/dust/hair; the other container for any bigger objects that may have gotten sucked up by the vacuum on accident, as a safety net for retrieval before throwing it all out Cons: - The variety of levers and buttons I can use to do different things does take a little bit of getting used to - It's sometimes a little difficult to put the canister back on the vacuum after emptying the contents, but this is just an inconvenience that's solved by trying again with a little more patience

This vacuum was purchased 2 years ago (9/25/22) and is already going straight to the trash. I ordered it to replace my Bissell, which was also garbage. I went through two upright Bissell before deciding to try shark. It had amazing reviews and I was hopeful. For reference I vacuum a lot. I have 2 dogs and 2 toddlers. I vacuum my downstairs every day, and the upstairs once a week (1500sq ft). Initially I loved it. It did have good suction at first, the carpet brush is good, and I liked that you could detach the canister. The canister is bulky, and the attachments are just fine - they also don’t stay on the holders very well but that didn’t bother me too much. The actual construction of the vacuum is awful. I noticed at about 6-8 months of use that it started to feel loose and the suction was less strong. After about 12-14 months it was not standing up very well, and about 4 months ago it completely could not stand up. I had to lean it against a wall anytime I let go of it, and when I did use the hose, I had to hold it upright with one hand. Today the bottom and upper piece compete detached and it’s now unusable. Overall I think if you are someone that vacuums 1-3 times a month, this might be an OK choice. If you are someone that needs to vacuum a lot, skip this. It won’t last and the quality is just not there.

My 1st one, which I purchased from the Shark website, Was great. I had it about 6 years and the motor was turning off and on intermittently. The hose had split at the bottom on the unit. I'm not complaining. I used that thing excessively. Loved it. I couldn't find a new model with ALL the same features so I purchased this "renewed" model. The only issue was the little brush that fits on the crevice tool was cracked. Not worth returning. I have 2 large dogs. One of them is a Huskie....Lots & Lots & Lots of hair. This machine is even better that the 1st one. LED lights on the motor and the detachable hose. It will suck the carpet off the floor. Great on hard services too.
