An Absolute Must for Mead
If you're making mead this is almost an absolute requirement. I recently got back into home brewing and was making a few 1 gallon brews or cider, mead and beer. I noticed the mead was not attaining a vigorous or even mildly active fermentation after a week. After this product arrived, I added a tsp into the 1 gallon batch of mead and within 12 hours noticed a significant change if fermentation with bubbles going from 1 every 6-8 seconds, to 1 every 2 seconds. Going forward I will be adding this to most if not all of my brews.

A Brewers must have
I have used this to help feed my various brewed beverages. It is a must have for the serious brewer. Don't need a lot just some. It doesn't have any unusual smell so that's good, just natural smells.

I think it works
I began using this with some newly purchased Red Star Montrachet wine yeast. I have not tried a batch of wine with that yeast by itself to compare how long primary fermentation takes. Using it as directed with this yeast, it takes only about 1 week to finish fermenting. It doesn't affect the flavor at all.
