Versa Collection 6-Drawer Double Dresser, Gray Maple with Antique Handles

Love this furniture. I put both the 6 drawer dresser and two nightstands together by myself (I am a 60 year old lady with arthritis pretty much everywhere). It would have been easier with two people (which the instructions recommend) but it just took me a little longer to do alone. It helps a lot if you understand how to use a cam lock (I think this company calls them Kwik Kams or something). Once you get the hang of using those, these become very easy to assemble and incredibly sturdy furniture. But these are NOT top of the line hardwood furniture, it is laminated pressboard. For the money they are pretty amazing. Still, if you think these are flimsy you probably did not get the cam locks working correctly. I saw other reviews where people had problems with the handles not tightening. On some of the handles, the little channel for the screws to go into are too short therefore making the screws too long. You can either shorten the screws with one of those little screw shorteners or more simply, get a little box of flat washers for about 2 bucks and put a washer or two on the screw and then tighten them down and they will now tighten all the way. Out of about 12 handles I had to put washers on 10 of them. Nobody would ever know they are there. I am very happy with this furniture and it goes with my faux leather white headboard very nicely. The only thing to mention might be that depending on what other colors you have in your room or what color your carpet is, the grey color might have a slightly green tint.

I inspected the item on unpacking and no chips. Started putting together and I chipped it in 2 areas (just small chips) because I was maybe too rough on it? I will touch up with some gray paint. Next time I need to tape the corners and do all the work on a rug. As others have stated it did take a long time to put together but instructions were clear, just need to thoroughly read them and lay all the parts out. Once together, the piece is very sturdy and heavy and the drawers glide very smoothly. I'm wondering if those who claim it's not study didn't tighten the bolts enough or nail the back onto it like your supposed too? Once all put together it really does look nice and is very functional. I also brought the chest of drawers and 2 nightstands that match this dresser. I really have no reason not to give this product 5 stars. Any damage was my own fault and yes, assembly took a long time and wasn't fun but that was not due to poor instructions - that's the case with all furniture you have to assemble yourself - comes with the territory. Bonus - they do provide extra parts just-in-case. Also, if you call South Shore they will send you replacement parts for any that were damaged free of charge. Based on my experience I would recommend this furniture. However you need to be aware that if for any reason you want to return it, Amazon will require you to take it all apart again and package it up.

The packaging for this dresser was HORRIBLE - the worst I've ever seen with holes and tears and the back side of the dresser being exposed. I was shocked that there was no real damage just a few little dings that happened to somehow not be anywhere too noticeable. It took a few hours for my husband to put together and we did have to go back and reread instructions since the drawers go on particular sides or they don't line up correctly. Ultimately the dresser is a really great color and looks awesome for our new baby's room! Definitely not the most durable of products but for the price I can't complain.

Two boxes basically. One for the foundation of and the other boxe is the parts for the dressers. Heavy, I would say close to 100 lbs and there will be a point where you will have to flip the entire dresser to the other side for the next steps so might want to have another person with you. Labeling of parts was pretty good but not great by any standards. Some pieces I had to spend a few minutes to find where the markings were for it to make sure it was correct part. Instructions displays are good however so I knew I was using the right part. One thing I didn't like was installing the handles and the holes were not flush drill holes so when you run the screw through it just packs all this partical board dust into the socket. Just cleared all holes out before screwing in the handles. A few cons but nothing to really knock of a star for. Comes out absolutely beautiful. $230 well spent. Assembly is not hard as much as it is time consuming. If you rush into this, I could see someone making this extremely difficult. I would advise another person to help you on this. We was able to get it done around 4-5 hours. Hopefully this review helps.

The esthetic is perfection, it's relatively easy to assemble but sadly this is not a long term piece. The drawers are continuously falling apart and quite frankly I'm getting tired of regluing and assembling. It just isn't made to last... And if it's for a kids room..... Forget it

So the picture looks great. This dresser looks nothing like the picture. It said 90 minutes of assembly time. We spent nearly 4 hours trying to put this thing together only for it to look like it had been assembled by monkeys. Really. Out of 6 drawers only two of them fit correctly. The whole thing is held together by these wooden pegs that sometimes are too big for the holes and sometimes are too small. There are big gaps between the drawers and the sides of the dresser and some of them are lopsided. Parts also came damaged (chipped or snapped in half) and to the company's credit they are sending replacement parts, but I have a feeling that this is only the beginning. The whole thing feels cheaply made and we had to be very careful while assembling it to avoid further damage. Do not waste your money on this. It is a waste of time, money and sanity to purchase this.

Consider buying nails or wood glue. I assembled th drawers carefully but they repetitively fall apart. The good thing about it is they're easy to reassemble! It's been about 4 months since the last drawer fell apart, however, so I think I'm in the clear.

I was not to sure about ordering this item, but i took a chance and ordered it, It took me two and one half days to to completly erect it. I figure this was pretty good, as i am 81 years old and done it with no one elses help.. The directions were very easy to follow. Now that is finished, i am happy as a tick with the way it looks. If i can do it in two and one half days, you younger people could do it in less then one day. It is a nice looking piece of furniture.

The dresser is lovely, albiet a bit cheap however not outside of the realm of expected given the price point. To be honest it was better quality than I was expecting! It arrived promptly 3 or 4 days later at my doorstep with zero damage. The only downfall is it came in a million pieces...the ENTIRE dresser needed to be put together, including the handles and all the metal pieces. My husband put it together in 4-6 hours.

J'ai eu cet item dans ma wishlist pendant au moins 2 mois car j'étais hésitant à acheter à cause des reviews qui étaient mitigées. J'ai finalement décidé de l'acheter et jusqu'à date je n'ai aucun regret. Je ne sais pas si South Shore a amélioré sa façon de faire (celui que j'ai reçu a été fabriqué en janvier 2021) mais de mon côté aucun problème au niveau des instructions, aucune pièce manquante, aucun défaut cosmétique et les tiroirs ferment bien. Ça m'a pris 2h30 pour le monter tout seul. La livraison arrive en 2 colis et il y en a un qui est assez lourd, ce qui fait que le meuble l'est tout autant une fois monté. C'est un meuble solide et jusqu'à date je n'ai aucun regret. On verra avec le temps s'il est résistant.

Looks great but all measurements are off. Big gaps on the side of the drawers. Also have to glue it together if order for it to hold at all. First time I pulled out the top drawer the face fell off.
