Millers ForgePet Hair Thinning Scissors, 7-1/4-Inch, Straight

I have not used them very much yet, but for the few times I have used them they were a little stiff.

Not very sharp for purpose of trimming my pet's hair.

Shipping was fast, but these do not cut at all! I used to be a dog groomer and I just bought a pair for my mom to use on her golden retriever. I didn't believe her when he said they didn't cut at all, but they do not! Spend a little more money and get a pair that works!

They are hard to open and close plus they aren't very sharp. A so so product.

I wish there had been a customer review when I purchased these scissors! I also purchased the curved dog grooming scissors by Miller's Forge. I received these shears in the mail, along with the curved scissors and the moment I took them out of the package I knew that I was going to be disappointed. The shears rub together excessively when you open and close them and do not have any fluidity of movement whatsoever. Instead of cutting my dogs hair, they simply "bent" the hair (and pulled...my poor Marley) without cutting. I tried a smaller amount of hair to cut, wondering if I had tried too large a section. Same result. I considered having them sharpened as not to have to go through the return process, but ultimately decided that returning them was the best choice. I wouldn't touch anything by Miller's Forge with a 10 foot pole. When it comes to shears, you DEFINITELY pay for what you get! Avoid these shears at all costs! I went out to my local Sally Beauty Supply store and purchased some thinning shears and regular shears from them (at a reasonable cost!) and they have made all the difference in the world!!!

I didn't want to make an expensive purchase on my first pair of thinning shears. These work well. I even tested them out on my own hair and it actually was pretty decent.

Good sissors for trimming the coarse hair on my Westie! Much cheaper than PetsMart or Petco, and I did not have to go out in inclement weather and congested traffic to buy them. This is a recommended buy!

Not very sharp. I returned them as they are the same as I have, thought I was getting something better.
