I wanted a nice bright lamp to craft by. So I did my research and decided that I needed one that was at least 1000 lm.When I read the description for this lamp it said that it was 1000 lm, but I did notice that further down in the description it mentioned 800 lm. It started to make me a little suspicious as to whether I could trust the description, but due to the glowing reviews it has received, I decided to put my suspicions to one side and go ahead with the purchase.When it arrived it was not 1000 lm, not even 800 lm. The box clearly stated that it was 500 lm. This is not sufficient for what I required and the description should most definitely be changed as it is deceiving.In addition to this, the bracket that attaches the lamp onto the desk has been drilled at a slight diagonal. I’ve tried to show this in one of the photos. It means that as I tighten up the bracket it digs in to one side and is likely to dent to the wood.I am not impressed.

A modern looking sturdy decent lamp for the desk. Blends in and the nice matte black finish makes it unique.The light dispersal is nice and even. The IR remote control is a good quality finish and works from nearly any angle so you won’t have a problem. Have two AAA batteries prepared as is not included in the kit.All good up until now. However it is disappointing to have it misleadingly advertised at 1000 lumens when it barely can achieve what it actually says on the box, 500 lumens. Issue highlighted by another user. Never rely on description, read the reviews. I made the mistake. The power supply is 10V rated at max 9W. This does not mean the lamp is 9W. Below some pictures with the actual current draw measured with the three basic settings at 100% power. A peak of 6W not considering losses is noticed.Advertising says 60 LED’s however this is actualy 30 for the warm light and 30 for the cool light. When you set to MIX, all 60 turn on but at 50% power. So you end up again with max 6W. Another white lie. The cool light LEDs are weaker as you can see in the current draw measured. Only around 4W.Description is a bit “chinglish” but I wouldn’t mind if it would say the truth. Not being anywhere near 1000 lumens is very frustrating I could have chosen another product but I probably won’t return the thing to risk another similar one.Gooseneck is flexible but a bit overlill. Too thick for suck a small head. Looks slightly clumsy.Another thing to consider. If you want to use it with wifi plugs this thing is unfortunately not remembering the last settings on power cut and it will stay off. It could at least come ON after power cut. Regardless of intensity/colour setting.Bottomline: not the best, too many bells and whistles in the usual chinese seller ways. A more honest description would probably sell more.

There are so many light settings with this product. Bought it for my wife’s desk in her home office. The light has a lovely long arm and is really easy to adjust. Took a little time for her to go through all the light settings to find the one she wanted. It did take a bit of effort to fit but that was because the desk had a very thick top. If you have a normal desk with an overhanging top this will fit easily by clamping on to you desk. If you have a fancy desk with a thick top, it might need a bit more effort to fit. The light though is very good once fitted

This light is visually very small but has several useful features. First, the gooseneck can be bent into any shape and the head can be twisted about into any position. Second, there are 5 brightness levels and 5 light colours so you can choose what you like best. All those can be chosen from the buttons on the lamp base. The remote control offers those, plus a timer and a night-light feature which could be useful if you have small children. The very small, slim light head is very unobtrusive though the trade-off is that it's not fantastically bright. The base is a nice cast piece of metal rather than just a 'C' shape, so it doesn't feel like it's bending as you fix it to the table.The price is fair for the versatility offered, and quality is good EXCEPT that the post at the bottom wobbles in the base. You can tighten the nut up as much as you like but it still wobbles. An annoying oversight caused simply because the hole is not drilled to tolerance. That's why it loses a star.UPDATE: I bought another of these and it was different. The stem is now fixed to the base - so it doesn't wobble but the new style bracket looks cheap and nasty, and you lose the option of fixing into a hole at, say, the back of a workbench. And annoyingly the flexible stem is now 4" shorter than before. The advert needs new photos.

this lamp is really good and looks well, it has clamp to attach to a surfase thus will fit different width from thin to thicker. 5 different light colours and 5 levels of brightness make it suitable for many needs. The neck is flexible and can be profiled into any position required. There is remote control included (but not batteries) The working order is excellent. Very good.

I have a similar light I bought a few weeks ago and love so was sad it was no longer available. This was the closest I could get and it is a fair comparison to the original light I bought. It is well made and excellent adjustment of light and on the brightest setting it is beautifully bright for crafting fiddly crafts with !It is only early days but first impressions are excellent quality for the money

I am pleased with my lamp. Clamps onto the desk securely and the long bendable "arm" makes it so easy to shape and angle to where you want the light to shine. ~Although it has different brightness and "warmth" factors to the light, it will remember your last setting. no having to cycle through the options every time you switch it on. The light can be angled away from you so that it lights up your paperwork but does not affect your eyes if you are working at a computer screen at the same time.
