Don't burn your house down to save a couple bucks!
Just got it, impressed with the thermometer, no thermostat but what did you expect right, but I was happy with the heating pad initially, seemed to heat up, good! good!, turned the dial up and it seemed to get warmer, winning! So set it up in the ball python habitat... then 2hours later BANG! as the glass shelf it was on shattered from the heat and the plastic of the heating pad was smoldering, melting thru everything it touched!! Buyer beware! But tbh I didn't attempt to contact seller, and I don't plan on it, the thermometer is solid and nobody died, so chaulk it up to assumed risk on my part for that price, roll them dice but understand you ARE gambling

Reptile heating pad
I've had this for 3+ years and is still working perfectly fine. It doesn't seem to make a huge difference in my light bill either. Definitely worth the buy if you have reptiles or a animal that needs a heating pad.

Good… but NO temperature setting (not as advertised)
This product works great. Heats up fast and uniformly. Both sides become warm, so if you are resting it on a table, perhaps use a heat-safe liner underneath. However, I regretfully have to return it, as it DOES NOT come with the digital thermometer — which is how it was advertised and pictured, and the reason I bought it. I am using this for art purposes, so the visible temperature setting is imperative — I don’t want any guesswork. Moreover, it has a thin and smooth surface, which I like. But alas, without the digital thermometer, it does not serve my purpose. Hence, the one star reduction from 5 stars, and returning it to find another product.

Color pencil use
I use this to warm color pencil work for blending as well as seedlings. The adjustability makes this possible. Works well and easy to use. I used white-out to mark the dial since it has no markings to tell the temp adjustments. Works well, no problems.

Okay for a temporary heat mat
Just got it in the mail today. It came as described and looks new. I assumed that the mat would have a sticky side to attach to the underside of the tank, but it does not. It just slides under it. I recommend having something between the stand surface and the heat mat to prevent heat damage, or use heat tape to attach it to the tank. Tape would also help the mat stay in one place instead of moving around when grabbing the cord to turn it on or off. I don't know if the adjustable switch helps with temperature level, but it did reach up to 99.8 degrees when turned all the way up. Currently using it for a 20-gallon tank with a leopard gecko. For $10 it's okay for a temporary heat mat. I don't think I would use it long-term.

Defective, got so hot it broke my tank glass
Looked fine, hooked it up and had it set at the minimum level, adhered to the bottom of the terrarium. It got up to 99*+ so I thought maybe I was reading the switch wrong. Turned it the other way, to all the way up... After about 15mins heard a pop, it was my tank glass breaking. The heat pad was reading 142*!!!!!!! So not only do I not want this piece of crap. I am out a $300 tank. Very very unhappy. Cannot believe how garbage this thing is. And just down right dangerous.
