Looked like a refurbished but I paid for new
Didn't even get to use it...it was all banged up and dented when it arrived. Looked like a refurbished but I paid for new.

Think I Got a Lemon 😏
2015 Whirlpool 1.9 cu. ft. convection whirlpool microwave YWMH76719CS-0 (bought at discount for $289). Seemed fine for about 3 years. Suddenly needed repeated resetting by unplugging and replugging it in for it to work. First symptom prior to breakdown was that of the three light settings, bright, dim, and off, the dim setting never worked. At year 3 from mfg date, a repair company replaced the control board for $235 and it has work (except not the dim light) for another year to two before I had to keep unplugging and replugging it. Not related to the “lemon” label, replaced the whole door again for another $150 when a grease fire melted the front. So, even without the accidental fire, this thing breaks down every 2 or 3 years! When it works, it’s terrific for most of my needs, although my guesses on cook time and power are much more accurate that the “Sensor” feature which never seems to stop “sensing”. 🙄 Sorry, cannot recommend this one.

Most versatile microwave, steamer and oven. Been using this about eight months
I purchased my confection microwave oven about eight months ago at a local big box store. I don't think I've used the oven on my stove since getting this. You can use this as a cook often and I have made things as roast beef dinners, spiral ham, cookies and brownies. Everything was cooks evenly and perfectly. The microwave feature is one I use the least. There is a button to reheat dinner. You put your dinner plate in the microwave senses the size and heats it for you. The plate comes out evenly heated, unlike if you just nuke it for a minute. You can also cook pasta in this you put the dry pasta in a bowl of water in the microwave senses and cooks the pasta to perfection.Mine also came with a steaming cartridge to steam vegetables. I've also steamed a lobster and steamed clams both came out delicious, cooked quickly and did not leave a smell. This unit is great to have at the holidays because you have you basically have a second full oven to cook and or bake with. When I first got this I read a lot about the convection oven's to set the temperature 25° below what your recipe called for. I do not find that to be the case at all I set this at the temperature of the recipe calls for and it cooks well.Another feature I really like is this does not heat up your whole house. If you want to cook a meal and an oven in the summer you can do so and this and not worry about your house getting overheated. I was a little intimidated when I first got this thinking it may be too complicated for someone as simple as me, that is not the case I've been able to figure out the functions with ease and I absolutely love this. I use it multiple times a day and after eight months it still runs as new.The sleek design will also match any kitchen update with the stainless steel appliances. I have a Samsung refrigerator directly across from this appliance and they look great together If you shop this out you can get good deals on this appliance. I do not regret spending more on my microwave, I got a lot more than just a microwave.

Straight out of the box
I just installed this microwave and thus far have been very pleased with the unit. Installation was straightforward. All the hardware needed to install was included with the microwave and, as I was installing over my cook top, I was able to install by myself (I used part of the package to boost the microwave so I could put it in place. This microwave has most all the bells and whistles you would ever want in a microwave oven, including convection, and multiple preset settings.I chose this microwave to replace a Maytag that replaced a 12 year old Frigidaire. To explain, the Maytag with similar features was originally purchased two weeks ago. That microwave wound up being defective... it would not even pop a full bag of popcorn. To me, that's just unthinkable.Maytag is owned by Whirlpool and you can tell by looking that there are many similarities as they are essentially made on the same production floor... however there are several differences.1. Cabinet interior: Maytag is stainless steel, Whirlpool has a non-stick interior. Result: Whirlpool is easier to clean. This makes my wife happy.2. Unit power: Maytag's microwave wattage is 1000 watts. Whirlpool is 1100 watts. Result: Whirlpool's 100 extra watts will cook food slightly faster.3. Overall looks: Maytag has a bold look... round door handle and a "shiner stainless steel finish" (which I liked). The Whirlpool microwave has a bit more subdued look... slightly darker finish with controls at the bottom (my wife likes that finish better which means I do too 😇)Convection cooking - I have worked in the appliance & refrigeration industry all my life. The first convection microwave ovens I saw were manufactured by Sharp in the early 80's. I have always wanted one since that time. The idea of being able to combine the speed of a microwave with the browning capabilities of a oven, to me, is the epitome of convenience.Although we haven't yet used the convection feature yet, we have double convection wall ovens so I am very familiar with the benefits. This microwave allows combination microwave and convection cooling, microwave cooking or straight convection cooking. Heating up the cavity of the convection microwave uses less electricity and generates less heat in the kitchen.Other features... 400 cfm (cubic feet per minute) three speed exhaust fan vented from top, back or recirculating, surface work light and it came with a vegetable steamer. All in all, I am pleased to recommend this microwave oven.
