It has taken a bit of practice to shape the beard nicely but after a couple months I think I got the hang of it. The adjustable depth cutter attachments are a great help. I would not want to try free handing it. As for the clippers, they seem to work great. I especially like that they use batteries rather than having a cord in the way. The batteries hold a charge well, they get through a clipping with no problem and charge back up to full charge quickly.
