Good but basic
I sent this device back after 24hrs as due to multiple devices reviewed on the same page on amazon I miss understood the functionality of this particular device. That said this a fantastic device for the price. Its comfortable and easy to use. The App is not the best (but remember this is a budget device so you cant complain to heavily). The sleep tracking is very good as is the pedometer and the message display from the phone is very good, but it does little more than this.I wanted the swimming and fitness tracking and purchased the Honour Band as a replacement which does many more things for barely £10 more. Again budget device so limitations of the app and the device are accepted but its a fantastic device as well.

It doesn’t count all steps!
The watch looks great and appears to work but when I realised that my step count was very very low step count on a normal day (under 800 steps!), I then wore 2 watches and this one was clearly not counting all my steps.I requested a refund as it is clearly defective but the seller pushed me to the warranty page for the manufacturer instead of refunding.

Brilliant basic fitness band
I purchased the Huawei Band 4e on sale for under £20. I needed a basic fitness band to be worn at the gym or at work to keep a track on my goals. Since then I reverted to wearing the band instead of a normal or smart watch due to its lightweight structure and comfortable strap material. The Huawei Band 4e comes with a USB charging dock, which can be plugged into a laptop, mains charger or power bank for charging on the go, this is unlikely needed though as I am on day 5 since my last charge and I currently have 50% battery remaining. This will see me through another 5 days before needing a recharge.Included in the box is a mount to attach the band to your show laces, this is something I have not tested as yet but it is interesting to see Huawei trying something new.The band itself features a small LED display which shows quick access to the time, battery life and bluetooth connection. Tapping the capacitive button below the screen toggles the remaining menus which are your step count, distance covered, calories burned, sleep status and then prompts for any more details on your phone. The app allows you to visually track your progress and make adjustments where necessary. For under £20 I am not sure that this will be 100% accurate, however I am more than happy with this product as it fulfils my needs and also performs much better than I originally anticipated.

It's a pedometer if you are an Apple iOS user - iPhone experience review
I still really like this and would buy again. It's cheap, and more importantly for me - comfortable, light flexible (unlike plastic wristbands), all I wanted was a pedometer anyway. Here are some things to know however if you're attempting to use with an iPhone (I have iPhone 7) and need more details.1. Yes it does work on Apple. You'll download the Huawei Health App from the app store, but it won't have full capability like on Android, the basketball stats don't show up. So all you get are step-count and sleep monitor. No HR, no SPO2, no basketball features.2. Sleep monitoring. I am only comparing to the iphone on bed (movement) and table (sound) methods. This is of course better. I did dream, but it didn't record REM. It didn't record 'too much' false sleep, and did pick up moments of deep sleep, although don't know how accurate. The watch will show you total hours, the app gives you the time and bars of deep vs light. You can't zoom the scale, but you can hover your finger to get exact times (albeit a little fiddly).3. No HR monitor (no lights on back) (although the sleep monitor help guide says not to leave the watch face down on a table when not in use as may think it's on a wrist as it doesn't get light refracted back - so not sure if it uses the movement or a combination to measure, or if if the guide was generic).4. No other readings. When you clip the device into the shoe clip, it somehow detects automatically and switches mode. But it still doesn't provide any of that data like foot strike pattern, jumping, speed or anything on the app (or the device) - it only has a GPS mode (functional in both wrist and foot modes) to track your run or cycle. In either mode it does give you km, calories, and vertical climbing steps (but I haven't tested the latter).5. Step count is 'fine'. When you really start moving, it triggers false steps, but when you're sitting for some time (like 5mins) and moving your arms for reading and things, it doesn't trigger. So all in all, it's a good gauge and still does the job in getting you motivated to move! It's surprisingly challenging to hit even 5k when working from home! You can change your daily target, but that's about it. No further 'health goals'. You can enter your weight target but you'd need to enter manually.6. Screen and usability. Has B&W screen, the screen has 1 touch button which cycles through the options. You press and hold to make it 'select'. I didn't realise this until much more searching, but there are some options inside the app when you click on 'my device' (i.e. you don't just go there once on setup). It has the settings for the alarm. It's simple to use, the app isn't great but since limited features, don't use it much and you get used to it.7. Fast charging and neat USB plug. This is only day 2 and the battery is 80%.8. Alarms. It can wake you up within 30 mins of a 'light sleep pattern'. You can set up to 5 different alarms - for any day or time. Or just leave it to go off at the same time during weekdays. There's no option to modify beyond this. You can get it to buzz you (it's a subtle buzz, no sound, not repeated, just enough) every hour. I read somewhere that it does this between 8am or something to 5pm or something like that, but in other words, you can't change that. And you can't change it to buzz you on the half hour for example.9. Extra features. You can tap it to 'find my phone'. I haven't set notifications to on, so can't comment on what it displays with whatsapp messages etc.Overall, would have been great to get the basketball features but serves me fine. Speedy delivery with Amazon Prime, well packaged. There are a lot of app setup questions which 'feel' too much, but I have all settings like tracking, notifications, and data uploads to 'off'! Enjoy, and stay fit!

No countdown timer or stopwatch
I need a countdown timer and HUAWEI Band 4e doesn't have one. So I regret buying it.

Excellent!
Bought this for my Mum. She has a Huawei phone and the entire set up was so easy. They connected seamlessly. The app is great and the watch itself is surprisingly lovely. The elastic strap is very comfortable, easily adjusted and secure also the watch face can be popped out and put on a different strap bought from Amazon or securely onto your shoe to be more accurate with steps, although the accuracy seems reliable on the wrist. The watch gives call and text notifications within 10/15 metres of each other once bluetooth is on. The display is not coloured, but bright and easy to read, even without glasses on. It's easy to use too which was a bonus for my mum. It says basketball tracking or something on the box but I otherwise didn't even notice that feature. Unreal quality for the price. Highly recommend
