I've been suffering from plantar fasciitis for quite a while. My job requires that I'm on my feet a lot. I've also been on a weight-loss journey, and trying to walk a lot more. My Podiatrist told me I needed shoes with a reinforced shank, good arch support, and a slightly elevated heel. These shoes have all of that. They've been the only shoes to give me some relief. I got these is the X-Wide which I didn't realize when I ordered them, but they are comfortable. I could have gotten away with the the regular width I think. My next pair will be regular width to minimize foot movement inside the shoe. The X-Wide is a bit wider than I need, but if you have wide feet it is nice to have that option. The Apex XLast setup is just what I needed. I'm loving these shoes.

I've never bought sneakers with a paper in a the box with break in instructions. As the instructions suggested, I put them on and tried the out for an hour yesterday, very nice fit. The toe box had just a little more room than the NB I usually get. All n all I am happy with them but will have to wait until the break in period is over. Right now they are a pleasant surprise. Time will tell!

These shoes are comfortable, and the price was right. They run a little smaller per size than the Aetrex Rhino Runner which I reviewed earlier, and are not quite as comfortable to me, but I would buy another pair when these are worn out. Nice to have a black shoe for comfort wear sometimes, instead of wearing the more flashy Rhino Runner. They seem to be holding up well.

I first got a pair from my foot surgeon/doctor and had never hear of the brand and was reluctant.After trying it and wearing it; WOW!!!What a comfortable sneaker, looks great, feels great, fits great. I liked them so much I bought an extra pair and then another pair in white.The best is they do not wear out as fast as my Nike or NB. I beat the hell out of these shoes and they hold up twice as long as any other sneaker I've had.If you have problem, achy feet or had surgery or just want a good looking shoes that is Sooooo comfortable to wear and will hold up, then this is the way to go. I highly recommend them.

The new shoes arrived in perfect condition. I'm wearing them now and the length of the foot is perfect. Because they're an orthopedic shoe, the dome of the shoe is larger than my foot since the swelling has gone down, so the shoes flop a bit. The shoes are designed to accommodate swollen, deformed feet, so that is not the manufacturer's fault, but simply a result of the healing process.

Have been buying Apex for several years and really like this style

After 2 years, I just replaced my Apex shoes with another pair after the soles separated from the shoes. My new pair, less than 2 months old, are now peeling the same way. What's going on here? I've used these shoes for years but am going to have to find another brand.After contacting them and sending a photo of the defect, they quickly replaced the shoes.

Would like to order another pair, but price is way too high.. :(
