Worked immediately for our bully hen
We have 9 hens. I’ve never had any issues with bullying until recently, Marty (pictured above) has decided to target our sweetest hen, Sandy. She has been getting on top of Sandy and ripping the feathers out of her head, getting close to drawing blood. Isolating Marty didn’t work and we didn’t want to rehome her, so we decided to try these. They worked IMMEDIATELY! Naturally Marty wasn’t a huge fan right away, but she quickly adapted and is still able to dig, eat, drink, roost etc like everyone else. The google eyes are not only hilarious, but necessary. Marty got pecked at a few times by the other girls before we added the googly eyes but it stopped once we added them on. It did take both my husband and I to put these on, but the tool included was perfect and once we got it on it has stuck for upwards of 2 weeks now. I wrapped her in a towel to hold her still so she couldn’t hurt herself and my husband put the blinders on. Just line the points up with their little nostrils, it may take a few tries. Thank you for helping save our little flock!!!!

Works well, sticky wiggly eyes are a game changer for entertainment
We have all lady chickens, and 3 of them have been bulling and pecking one of the chickens that is also molting....they are stressing her out so bad.....she says hidden in the roosting boxes in the coop all day. I was afraid If something didn't change, she might die from stress. I read on some chicken boards online that these are helpful as the chickens wearing them cannot see directly in front of them, so, therefor, "should" not peck. Wear for up to a few weeks to retrain the bully behavior. These clamp easily into their nostrils and stay there, even if the shake their heads or try and scratch them off. The girls wearing them can still eat and drink normally, but I did have to provide them with a larger water bowl Instead of the gravity filled cups they normally use. So far so good for no pecking

Bully taken down a notch!
We have a flock of six chickens, all hens. One hen (Bean, Gold Laced Wyandotte) was mercilessly plucking the feathers off another hen, right above her tail, and eating them. Bean’s bullying behavior was also just generally stressing everyone else out by being overly aggressive about pecking others away from food, water, and whatever else she felt like pecking her flock mates for. She also seemed perpetually stressed out, anxious, on high alert, and never settled during the day. Ordered these, popped a pair (the big ones) on her, and the behavior change was almost immediate. No more feather pecking, significantly less bullying. She didn’t like them but after a few days she didn’t seem to notice them. After a week of use all the other hens were visibly relaxed and just doing their regular chicken thing. Bean was less anxious, less stressed, and we finally got to see her personality. She’s really sweet!! She’s still the top hen, but she doesn’t actually need to peck anybody to get her way anymore. The other hen has regrown her feathers and gained more self confidence. We’re going to keep the peepers on for awhile to make sure the behavior change sticks. They do prevent Bean from eating out of the galvanized hanging feeder, so we added a bucket of food to their run. She can still drink out of our DIY waterer.

No good!
Didn't stop my hen from pecking the heck out of my rooster. Difficult to put on & remove.

It works very well
I have 4 hens. One of them became very nasty when her broody was finished. I put the small peeper to her. It was very easy to put her. She tried to remove it a few minutes, but gave up right away. Her behavior is much calmer now. The 2nd hen was not as nasty as the 1st one, and I did not put the peeper for a while. She became aggressive only when the other hens come near her favorite spot. However, she pecked other hens very bad today and I decided to put the large peeper. She was much more resistant, and I had harder time to put it. After I successfully put the large peeper, I realized I should have used the larger one for the 1st hen because the larger one covers all upper beak. She still can drink and eat, but her pecking power is more controlled if the beak is all covered. I did read the one star reviews. I think the personality of hens affect a lot. If a hen is not so afraid, it is very easy. If a hen is resistant, it is much harder. I am sure hens feel more uncomfortable with peepers, but the peepers definitely bring the peaceful hen’s community.

Not recommended for large breeds
3 stars because they work on normal size breeds such as pheasants and laying hens but the larger meat breeds such a brahmas, jerseys and leghorns they easily scratch it off with their feet.

These blinders are definitely a game changer! We have two bullies amongst our 7 chickens and they were pecking our other 5 chickens raw. We tried everything, separation, black goop for their raw areas. Nothing was working. We order these blinders and put them on all of our chickens and the pecking has stopped. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
