I got this for Halloween to paint my face and body for a gremlins costume. Application went smooth and the paint didn't run off or stain anything even though I sat down with my painted legs touching surfaces and had paint on my fingertips. Getting it off wasn't too bad with some makeup wipes and water as well .

AMAZING AMAZON GREEN!!! As you can see, I have dark skin, so I needed a full coverage body paint. I plan to use this for Halloween to cover my arms, hands, face, and neck. I researched how to apply this paint, and found that stippling with a sea silk sponge works best. FYI... all the pics are the same color in different light at different times of the day/night.APPLICATION: To apply, I used Constantia Beauty Natural Sea Silk Sponges for Cosmetic Use, 1.5 - 3-Inches, Pack of 12 . I soaked the sponge in a bowl of water for one minute, then squeezed most of the water out. I then rubbed the sponge across the paint palette, working up a little bit of paste. After that, I stippled (dabbed) the paint on my arm. It applied at 60% coverage at first, and I went over it again to get 100% before it fully dried. Once it dried after a few minutes, I dusted on Mehron Setting Powder -Neutral,1 Oz(28 g) and the body paint was set. It matted beautifully. To prime my face, I used a facial toner spray and lotion moisturizer to prevent staining.Once I was done with application, I let the palette air dry before putting the lid back on. I also cleaned the silk sponge with soap and rinsed it out with warm water. They are reusable & worth the investment.After wearing the paint for an hour, it did not crack or flake off. It wears like full coverage foundation, and also transfers much the same - not a whole lot, but you run the risk of leaving admirers tainted green with envy. I recommend air kisses only. :-)REMOVAL: I ran my arm under warm water and 80% washed right off. Because of this, I recommend carrying latex gloves for bathroom trips if you paint your hands. The rest washed off with regular soap and cloth. With my skin tone, there was minimal staining, most noticeable on my palms. Mehron also sells a barrier spray to use before makeup application.In the hour I wore the paint, there was no reaction on my sensitive skin. So far, I'm in love with this body paint! The smell is nice for a body paint, and the formula keeps your skin moist. Because it is water-based, I wouldn't recommend it if you're going to be in the heat or dancing. It's definitely not rain proof! Stay cool and dry!

In the past I have used other face and paints that go on easily enough, but you have to build it up and then it would crack and peel, NOT THIS ONE! Goes on evenly, moves with your skin, high color pay off with very little effort and no rub off! I used the Mehron recommended skin prep & barrier/setting spray. I also purchased the setting powder, but found I didn’t need it. It washes off relatively easily with very little staining. I had some dry patches of skin that requires a little more exfoliating, but otherwise found the product easy to remove. It did not irritate my skin and I have sensitive skin. Highly recommend!!!! Follow the pictures for progression of removal after 15+ hours in the paint. Applied at 4:45 am. Removed around 10:00 pm. Please excuse the tooth paste around my lips.

I am a licensed cosmetologist and I truly didn’t have the highest hopes for this and I am beyond impressed, grab someSponges and if you are highlighting/contouring grab your shades. I wish I had! We used green as a base with smash box primer. Worked beautifully! Comes right have with facial cleanser.

I'm super impressed with this product. A little went a long way, the color was pretty solid after one coat and it held up for the whole night. My girlfriend and I went to a few different costume contest and it held up 10+ hours even through mild sweat. It held up maybe a little too well, and that's really the only down side. It took a bit of work to truly wash off. Regular soap still left behind a little bit of a stain. Unintentional secondary review haha but we found the only soap that really cut through this make up was Dr. Bronner's Pure-Castile soap, tried like 3 other soaps we had, including orange soap meant for mechanics and removing Grease and we were still green. Once we found a soap that worked we were able to wash it all off, but there was certainly a moment where my girlfriend and I looked to eachother, at first defeated and then in acceptance as we said "I guess we are green now". In a last ditch effort pulled the last bottle of soap out of the shower and it finally came off. So just a word to the wise learn from our mistakes, get a good soap. Still would rate this 5 out of 5 with that disclaimer. The proper remover is necessary.
