Great taste
I recently switched from medium roast to dark roast. I tried several brands. This was, by far, the best.

satisfying
Love the coffee for both aroma and taste! It starts with a nutty and forest-like taste and then brings your pellet to deeper yet nun-bitter taste. Compare to other dark roasted coffee, it is a bit milder and soft taste and that is the reason for giving four out of five start rating.

Favorite budget whole bean coffee from Amazon
I bought a few bags of whole bean coffee recently, and this ended up being my favorite.I'm a bit new to coffee, and I was a little suspicious of the dark roast at first, because I wasn't sure I'd be able to detect any of the tasting notes if it the roast was that dark.I guess I'm used to Starbucks dark roast, which is often burnt, because this stuff is awesome. You can smell the blackberry right out of the bag. The scent got me pretty pumped.Brewing in an aeropress and drinking black yielded good results. Could definitely taste the blackberry and chocolate. Adding cream makes it taste like Irish cream, so pretty tasty. I have also used it for cold brew. You really can't go wrong :)

This is not a dark roast.
This would fare better as a medium roast. It is a decent medium, but not really a dark bean in appearance or flavor.

Coffee coffee packing problem
I wanted to let you know that the coffee bean bag was put in the box without any packing materials around it. The coffee bag broke and the box was full of loose coffee beans. Ahhhh! There was also a slight tear in one of the seams in the shipping box and coffee beans were spilling out of there also. Yikes.I have no idea of knowing how many coffee beans I may have lost. I know there is no return policy, but If there is anything you could do it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, your coffee looks and smells delicious, and I look forward to my cup tomorrow morning. Thank you, have a good evening. E Cruz

Extremely Bitter
I had to substitute my subscription, and this is the choice I made. It is bitter and lacks flavor, possibly due to lack of freshness.

Excellent for percolator
I grind the beans each morning and brew in an old school stove top percolator pot. My usual is Starbucks dark roast but with the quarantine decided to order from Amazon instead of visiting Costco. This is more expensive than the price I pay at Costco, but I feel it's worth it. I agree with reviewers who note the beans appear oily, but they brew a find coffee. Robust, but not strong and overpowering, very smooth, no detectable acidity or aftertaste. Try it, if you enjoy a medium to dark roast blend. Very satisfied.
