Great Dutch oven
My wife has wanted a Dutch oven for quite some time. She has used it 3 times already since Christmas and loves the color. Went with the larger 9 qt which seems to be the best size for us. It’s a little heavy, but seems well made, and cleans up pretty easily.

Worth The Money
This is a great addition to my kitchen. It is a quality piece of cook ware that I expect will last a very long time. Bonus - it adds a pop of fun color to meal preparation and clean up!

Can’t go wrong with the original!
Le Creuset was my first ceramic/cast iron pot. I treasured it. I cooked everything from Coq au Vin, to artisan bread, to Spanish style rice in it. Somehow in a move it got lost or stolen. Well, these are super expensive. Years later, I asked my mom and husband if they’d be willing to chip in to buy this oval pot so I could make a Thanksgiving turkey in it. This is much larger than my original pot, and all Le Creuset (like similar cast iron/ceramic pots) is HEAVY. With a 12 lb turkey, it was all I could do to get it into the oven, but wow, what a turkey; best one I ever made (using Gordon Ramsey’s recipe of course ;). The round small one I have is the best for bread, rice, stews for four people. This one is for a crowd, no matter what you’re making in it. I’ve used the cheaper versions - they just don’t hold up as well; they’ve chipped easily or the lids don’t fit correctly for a nice tight close. So this is an investment, but a good one.

Le Creuset is the Best Cookware on the Market. This piece did not disappoint.
What can I say, Le Creuset is the best cookware on the market. This large Dutch Oven is a great crowd pleaser for pulled pork, or any other large cut of meat. Cleaning is a snap. I have had Le Creuset cookware since 1990, they still look immaculate and cook the same as the day they were purchased. The quality is superior.

Finally Bought the Real Thing! Why did I wait??
After many years of owning two Staubs (because I got them on sale), I finally broke down and got “the real deal!” First thing I made in it was a whole roast chicken. Man, was that good! Perfection! And the pot cleaned easily, and came out perfect. Was it cheap? No! But totally worth it. Wish I’d bitten the bullet and gotten one years ago!

Really, too big for most uses
This is really big. I got it on line, and likely would not have if I were holding it. But it is lovely and it has a very large capacity. I will use it some, for sure, but I went to Williams Sonoma and bought a large, but not giant Le Creuset pot. It will get more use. I am a 6' male, former athlete, so I can manage this pot when it is full. But it would be very heavy for many people and full of hot liquid perhaps not very safe to carry. Nearly 4 gallon capacity plus a very heavy cast iron pot and lid, this gets the weight up there. So now I own a baby Dutch oven, a huge one and a medium size one. All look good, but the 7 1/4 quart size is my suggestion if you only want to buy one. Of course, if you have a family of 6 or 7, maybe this is perfect.

Great cookpot! Delivered broken.
I have has La Creuset cookware in the past, & they are virtually indestructible. So when the large 8qt stew pot I've been wanting came up on sale, I leapt at the chance. However, due to UPS' negligence &/or ineptitude with delivery, they have managed what I thought was impossible: they broke my new cook pot. I have no idea how, and am on the phone with UPS customer support as I type this, to find out who dropkicked my birthday present to myself off the nearby cliffs prior to delivering it to me. Amazon got me set up with a replacement so Kudos to their customer support for that. But a 20lb cookpot having a crack that goes almost the entire height of the side of the pot renders it a rather oversized (albeit expensive) paperweight. Still, I know the brand, so I'm confident this is going to behave just as all of my others have.
