Generic DVI-I Dual-Link (M) to 15-Pin VGA (F) Adapter

Confirm the connection on you PC or monitor is DVI-I and not DVI-D. This product will only work with a DVI-I port.The adapter was delivered three days after ordering and it has worked flawlessly for the three weeks it has been in daily use. I would have given it 5 stars, but the securing bolts are too short and I had to apply an unnecessary amount of pressure to get them to barely connect. This shouldn't be an issue for most people because the adapter does not need to be secured to the video port to operate properly.

We ordered the DVI-I to 15-Pin VGA to connect a second monitor via VGA through a Graphics Card. This worked perfectly for that purpose.Be sure that when deciding if this is the right adapter for you that you check your GPU or Motherboard DVI connection, as they can be different and this is specifically for DVI-I connections. When connecting to a Graphics Card through a DVI-I connection, you should see VGA imprinted on the card next to one of the DVI-I ports, indicating that you can connect via VGA.

Good value for the money, worked perfectly on my Desktop computer.

I received the item pictured. I am unsure why so many people received the analog, but I ordered 4 of these, and have had no issue. Much cheaper than running to a local electronics shop to get one for double the price.

Great adapter at great price. I had 3 delivered from price of one at big box store. Only complaint is access to screws to secure it to the computer is difficult with big fingers.

I am using this with an XFX One add-in video card in a Dell Optiplex 755 DT.When you use a add-in video card to upgrade the video (say, for a Windows 8 upgrade) in Dell Optiplex Desktops (DT), the low profile adapter plates for the VGA port won't work because the video card slot is the last available slot on the left.No problem, add one of these to the DVI-I port and off you go!
