Perfect fit!
My father's 33 year old garage doors needed new locks and they were a perfect match! Size, shape and fit were spot on, took maybe 5 minutes to replace each one, 6 screws on each and job done! I highly recommend these locks! George....

Your garage door lock will work like brand new.
Perfect replacement. Don’t attempt to replace the keys for your garage door. The lock tumblers in your old garage door lock mechanism are probably as worn-out as the old key you’re trying to replace. Replace the whole assembly affordably.

Glade to have finally fixed my garage door.
This part did the trick! Bought my house about 8 years ago and the garage door lock wasn't in working order. Garage door itself was in good shape and didn't want to replace the whole door. After searching around I'm happy to have found the right part. And no stores in my area carried a part like this. As said in a previous review the holes on this replacement lock may not line up with the factory drilled holes on your door. I did have to drill new ones and make some small adjustments. But the job is done and I feel alot more comfortable knowing my garage is once again on lock down.

Picture does not show it, but it does come with the locking mechanism
Quick and easy install. Unlike other lock sets this came with an spare key. I used this lock set on a shed.

Worked well before it failed.
I used the deadbolt on my garage door for about 9 months before it failed. The actual deadbolt is robust but it is connected to a thin loop made of cast iron that finally failed. The thin loop lifts the deadbolt when the key turns or inside lever is used. The deadbolt is also spring return which means you need the key when shutting the door. I think it was one too many times of forgetting to use a key when shutting the garage door that broke the lock. Before it failed the lock worked well. I wish there was a higher quality option for this style of lock. I ended up buying the same lock again because I couldn’t find an alternative.

Not real Stanley Item - Can't get keys
This lock works as one would expect. However it is not a Stanley product. Innovative Home Products (IHP) took over a license to use the Stanley trademark for manufacturing and selling garage doors as well as garage door openers and accessories. At that time, IHP assumed all liabilities concerning warranty issues. Unfortunately, during the summer of 2001 IHP filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It is virtually impossible to find keys that fit. This is also true for several of the other no-name brands that sell at home depot and Lowe's. The problem appears to be a Chinese manufacturer that doesn't use standard US key blanks.
