Great item notice picture details important
It does exactly what it's supposed to. My only grip is with the mounting and hardware. Buyer should notice that this one (25A) does not come with heat sink for SSR or the screws for mounting it. The piece that holds the PID in place isn't the best but it still works well enough. You have to be very precise in cutting the square hole. Absolute zero room for over cutting.

instruction translation not great. unit preset to low temp. once we figured it out, it appears to work fine.

Digital temp for kiln
I bought this to get an accurate read on the temp of my kiln. My kiln can with a dial so on medium it is about 1500 degrees. Doing enamel jewelry and paintings I need a more precise read. The thermostat that came with this is not made for such high temperatures. Solve that by using the original thermostat and hooking it up to the digital box. Now I can set the temperatures I need for each type of enamel I use. Very inexpensive way to do this.

It works well enough for my use.
I've had this controller for a few years now. It still works. However, I've had major difficulty getting somewhat accurate air temperature readings. I don't know if it is because the controller and the temp probe (4-wire) are not matched (though they should be per specs), probe mounting method, or the way I am using it. I finally decided a hysteresis of +/- 3 degrees F was good enough for me. I'm not using it to control air temperature. Just read ambient air temperature and turn heaters on and off that are not effecting the PID's temp readings. The written instructions could be better.

Great controller!
Great controller. Comes with SSR relay and Type-K thermocouple so you only have to add a heating device. Instructions are technical and sparse but start with auto-tune mode.
