Why is this the best?
Ever since i bought this screwdriver set i have been trying t figure out why its the best screwdriver I’ve ever used. It’s a bit of a mystery. It comes with three double ended bits and no roll up to hold them (will they get lost?). The two most useful bits have a #6 straight and #1,2,and 3 ends and the third has #2 and 3 PZ (some day I’ll run across some of those). The bits have size markings painted on that start wearing off the first day.So why has this become my favorite go-to?1. The bits. The steel is very very good, and the fit (particularly in the Philips-head sizes) is exceptional. No stripping out. The straight bit tapers in such a way that the sides are almost parallel. It looks like it would be weak, but it isn’t. Good steel!2. The handle. The bits fit in beautifully and are held with just the right tension.3. Ergonomics. The handle is extremely satisfying. You can apply more torque than you ever imagined for a hand screwdriver, and using it all day would be a pleasure. So I guess the solution to the mystery is - quality is what it’s all about. Bits #1 and 2 fit 90% of my daily needs. If I need another size I can pop in some other 1/4” hex shank bit (the handle fits these). I suppose a roll-up is unnecessary. The bit that I’m not using is handy in my pocket.

Great little driver
Great little screwdriver. The shanks are nice and solid feeling when screwing. Not to small or big in your hand.

It's *NOT* made in China
Saddened by the exodus of American made tools to the likes of China? Would you like to experience, again, the same high quality of hand tools that used to be made here? Then think "Japan". Vessel is a well-established Japanese tool maker and they make their tools in, surprise, Japan. This screw driver set is excellent in every respect. The ergonomics are great; the ball handle fits the palm comfortably and effectively. The fit and finish are first class. The bits are all strongly magnetized and will cling to one another when put away in your toolbox. The bits fit securely into the handle; there is no wobble or play. The bit selection consists of a variety of common JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) and Phillips plus a single straight bit. What's even more amazing is the reasonable price point on these tools. I have two other Vessel JIS drivers that have a built-in impact capability for loosening screws. Vessel makes good stuff for a fair price.I bought this kit to use when working on my DR560 Dual Sport motorcycle. Because of its compactness, It's included in my pack along tool kit. JIS screws work best with JIS drivers. I learned the hard way using Phillips drivers; it doesn't work well. Most all Asian-made vehicles use JIS screws in lieu of Phillips. A JIS screw will have a small dimple stamped on the head of the screw ...even the smallest ones.Vessel tools. On my list. Quality stuff, reasonably priced. If you appreciate quality tools, check out Vessel; they're *not* made in China.

Quality and versatile
Good quality, especially the bit fit. Works fine with other brands of 1/4" bits that are at least 2" in length. Never forget the torx!

There's A LOT to like about this product but ...
Ever since I learned about J.I.S. screwdrivers I found myself liking and buying the J.I.S. products from Vessel. These remarks are regarding the Vessel Ball Grip 1/4" Hex. Bit Interchangeable Screwdriver (Bit 3PC. (+1, 3 / +2, -6 / PZ2, PZ3) SET. 220W3J1) from Amazon and no other product. The set includes the handle, Pozidriv bits PZ2/PZ3; J.I.S. #1/#3 and JIS #2/#6- (6mm slot or minus). After several months of use, these are my further observations.Pros: The screwdriver fits the hand well and is very comfortable to use. With the right pressure there is far less cam out than with Philips, especially on J.I.S. screws, although I have yet to discover where I can buy J.I.S. screws. The bits hold well and insert/remove easily into the handle. The magnetized bits are up to the task although obviously that doesn't have much value when you predominantly use plastic, brass, stainless steel or other non-ferrous screws.Cons: This product is not part of a "system". The handle can accommodate longer bits or an appropriate length bit holder (extension) from other vendors so long as they are at least 1.25" in length. Vessel does not sell any other similar bits that fit this handle such as double ended magnetic Torx bits or Allen (internal hex) bits in either Imperial or metric. A short hex extension would allow the handle to use a myriad of different bits from other vendors. These bits, after 4 months of frequent use, have never experienced water and yet it has been humid lately so there is slight but noticeable rust starting to form on the most frequently used bits. Removal of the rust with very fine steel wool removed the rust but also some of the labeling on the bits with only mild abrasion. Stamped or engraved bit designations would have been better. Many multi-bit screwdrivers have a way to store extra bits, if not in the body of the screwdriver itself. This would have been very nice. If one has a steel tool box, that is always nearby, just letting the magnetic bits snap to the outside of the toolbox might be fine. Instead, they could be carried in a rugged, resealable, clear plastic bag if the toolbox travels. If not ... well, as I said some form of bit holder would be nice.In summary, this is a very good product. The addition of greater rust resistance, a bit carrier, clearly readable and permanent bit types (engraved/ laser etched) an optional selection of same style Torx bits and a bit extension would elevate it from a very good screwdriver to a great screwdriver. I know some folks would like it ratcheting as well but I haven’t found this a deal breaker for my needs.
