Heaven.
I use this to give my hummus that extra mystery kick. Love this, and the vacuum seal bag and tight zip closing. Think I am on my 4th bag of this. I buy a lot of my spices from this company.

Almost Perfect
After digging around for ages, this is one of the best traditional ones I could find that doesn't use thyme. The only flaw with this stuff is the salt. Why why why is there salt in it. Let me add my own salt to taste. The salt isn't hugely overpowering or anything. I made some oven roasted chicken with some of this and the salt definitely comes through. The chicken turned out fine but I would of liked to control my own salt content. But if you were to make something that is a sodium sensitive recipe, the salt content in this product will for sure over power it.The only reasoning I can see for them to even add salt is for packaging reasons. Whether it be because it helps control the moisture content, or its because it's just a extremely cheap resource that adds bulk to the product. Who knows.Again, almost perfect.

It's a lot of spice for the money.
First of all, I paid 10 bucks for this. I had a gift card and wanted to get something interesting and I had heard a lot about zaatar and decided to buy it, thinking I was going to get a little pouch and 6 ounces wasn't going to be much. It's a lot. You could easily fill one of the larger spice shaker bottles with this bag and then some, and those are already going to be 7 or 8 bucks just for garlic powder or something. Now for the flavor. It's kind of subtle, very herby and earthy. Imagine an elevated Italian seasoning blend. I made couscous with feta and olive oil and I doused it with zaatar and it was delightful. I'm glad to have this bag in my spice arsenal.
