Great collar. We have two others for our Shepherds. Got this one for our Doberman pup. Best trainer there is. Last forever. My first in is over 4 yrs and still going.

We have had and are still experiencing really good results with this collar. We had a private trainer show us how to use it, and I would highly recommend anybody going this route do the same. We tried the collar out by placing it on our hands and arms and having the other person hit the button. It wasn’t even as powerful as walking across a carpet and touching a metal door knob. Just the slightest tap. There’s a boost setting which is adjustable and a vibration button. Sometimes our dog needs something stronger if he doesn’t respond. The collar, with training, turned are rascal around 180°.

Like any new device, you should learn from a professional. Our professional dog trainer showed us how to place the mini Educator on our working line GSD, and how to set the signal strengths to obtain the desired results. We started at a mid 20's signal strength and ended at 13. On a daily use for best results on our GSD we start @ 18 and as the day goes on reduce to around 15. Every dog is different so it is best to have your trainer set things up and go over all the need to know sections, for proper use. It is a TRAINING device not a TORTURE device. DO NOT put the receiver on the trachea, it could do irreparable damage to your pet/family member. Our trainer has in excess of 25 years of experience, training for a family pet to protection work. Her brother teaches dogs for K9 police work and for military needs. GSDs are naturally protective of family members, however they need to be trained properly for the desired level of protection. The mini Educator has helped in our working line German Shepard Dog's training, such that my 100lb, 83 year old wife can safely walk our 63lb, 5 month old "Jameson", without being pulled to the ground and possibly break bones or be injured such that she would need to be hospitalized.

I have searched for something to keep Kitty the Wild Child Dog under control only to be totally disappointed after a number of expensive items!! FINALLY!! A friend suggested this and the world became a far better place!! After a VERY few zaps, all I need to do is SHOW her the remote and she quiets down and becomes a new dog without much other issue! She is happier and so am I--it seemed all I ever did was scold her--now we are getting along so much better--too bad you don't have a kids and/ or husband model(just a joke--well, maybe not!!) In my mind, this device is ideal for both the dog's safety and my sanity--I was very skeptical at something I thought might be cruel--believe me, it is not...she now is responsive to us and happy to obey--you can't ask for much better--she was so far out of control--this is like heaven~~~

I have demo’d several different units. While mini educator was the most expensive, you truly do get what you pay for. The vibration mode handles all but the most dire requests. It took almost no time to acclimate my dog to the collar. After just a few days we are walking leash free with confidence. $200 is a steep price but imho worth it.

This training E-Collar worked on my Rottweiler with her puppy training. It really helps break some of her bad habits that she developed as a puppy.

We did not receive a new product. The pieces arrived in a ziplock bag. No original packaging and not all advertised pieces were included. We will see if it actually works. For full retail price ( which is $$$) I would expect a new product.
